mines all done as well. Finally I can drive CEL free. EBC seems to be working out well, just need to fine tune it. Shortened the earth cable to the battery and tidied up a fed things. Job done. Oil change next.

Its getting more and more expensive than i thought it would be but

Dry cell Battery £85

Battery terminal posts £15
Cabling £35
Battery holder £30
Distribution block £7

And I think it going to get new Battery terminal's, which are £12 each.

All in around £200

Can be done alot cheaper, no doubt about that.

Rogers, yeah, you just need to get a battery cage, and more than likely put it in the spare wheel well.

Jivey, Nice nice, whats the difference like ?

how long was the light out for? Check what its for and if its the same thing. Try both sensor first. U know where the crank sensor is now?

It comes on every time i start the car, but if i clear it it doesnt come back until i start it again.

For instance, i started the car up, cleared the code and drove 150 miles and it hadnt come back on. Stopped, started the car back up and it come back on again.

Which one is the crank sensor?

Need to check the timing again, clean the sensors and go from there.

Has yours come back on again?

no mine is done and hasnt come back on. just had a coilpack go on me though. like 2 mins ago. lol.

that light only comes on when the car is warm. thats what happened to me.

the crank sensor is a bitch to get to. the car needs to be off the floor. where the oil filter is its below that and to the right as if you were looking at the car. its held on by 1 10mm bolt but its a bitch to get to. and then you have to pry it out gently. you know the 3 plugs under the inlet mani. well the middle one is the crank sensor. try cleaning that as well

Cheers, i knew roughly where it was but didnt know exactly where.

I'll start with the timing and go from there.

I'd like to get a new chain and tensioner at some point as mine is pretty noisy.

i would check that first. weird how mine jumped though. but i think it might have been when it was in gear on sat and we were rocking my car on the ramp. never mind. once you have checked that then if you need to check the sensors i dont mind giving you a hand. you can try mine then
