Thats a pain in the ass Phil. I've been looking for a new craptop too, What one did you get?

Anyone know if VagCom works with a Linux OS? As I may just buy a small laptop, which has linux on it .

Oh yeah, hopefully swapping the ECu over tomoz, so we'll see. At the mo i've got abs and traction control lights on, so possibly a new maf. But the car is wheel spinning like a mofo.

no tom, i tried vagcom with suse linux and it wasnt supported, an emulator might work or a dual boot

well after a long wait my brakes are finally on and working! they are awesome,

and also my all my sound systme is in, and that is amazing eswell. so its all good at the moment, she is going really well at the moment!!

It wont work on my new laptop as its running Vista, so basically i'm gonna have to shell out for a proper cable and software. Gutted.

cant you run it in compatability mode.

Nope, i'd reserve judgement for myself though. Doubt clarkson had a good word to say bout the Ibiza but I don't mind it. Mind you, I would probably have the same judgement as him if I drove a Lambo/Ford GT everyday!

Saying that, an EVO 8 has popped up for sale in blackwood area. Engine built for a reliable 600bhp but hasnt had the turbo change for it yet. Currently running at 415bhp 450lbft. £16.500. Possibly could be tempted by something with some speed for that spec/price
Would snap his arm off for something with that spec, the engine build must have cost thousands alone. But can't do it before I move. And that should be gone in no time.

If its Jay, then he probably wont have had any problems throwing a lot of money at it. He spent a fortune on his mini and his leon.
