hey guys i have a fualt code come up about fuel mix too rich? any ideas what part i will need and if it is easy to fit myself ?

I think that may be a boost leak,

Check your vac hoses.

The car seems to be peforming ok still, i read that some sort of sensor can fail???

many sensors fail on 1.8Ts lol

maf, maybe map or a lambda could relate to an incorrect fuel mixture, maf more than likely

Get a full copy of vag com to see if you got any other fault codes as well.

As its reading too rich and saying intermittant, id just clear it and keep and eye out after checking some hoses.

I'm gettin some cold feet with my car. No idea what the hell to do with it now.

Its pretty much ready to take any power i want, but i'm not sure if i want that.

I'd have to keep it another year to get something i want, but do i get 300-400 brake out of it or do i sell it as a car ready for power?

I'm actually gettin tempted by a eliminator.

Also, is it worth using my large port head with decent valves if i'm still on standard bore? I've put it up for sale anyway, as i'm tempted to keep my head and get a differemt

I know i'll have to get a new intake mani on a new head, but is it gonna be worth the money on valves and mani for the gain/reliability?

I want something thats quick but not a lag monster ideally.

Really not sure what to go for.

With the time and effort you've spent imo a gtrs would be selling it short, if you've done your internals etc go for the higher eliminator with a custom map. Im thinking about gtrs with revo 3 but i only want around 320 because i dont have the money to do all the engine work.

To be honest i'm not that keen on super power as i cant see me either being able to use it properly (the roads where i live) or get the power down properly.

Will be goin stage 3 revo whatever happens tho.

Anything bigger than eliminators would be serious cost tho as the only manifold that fits at the moment is the equal length one from JBS and i'll be **** if i'm paying 1k for that.

Well the missus has she's 21 and too old apparently. Not nice living with parents like that. Found a nice appartment to rent for time being see how we get on. If we survive each others company then we'll look to buy.
