Is it running ok tom?

I just re-gapped my plugs, and theyre lookin sweet! Well happy, was a bit nervous they were gonna be shitted up or something.

Seemed to start ok phil, and idle fine. But will see this afternoon. Just off for a hiarcut and then to cardiff, so it'll have plenty of time to spit its dummy out if its going too.

Car seems fine with the old ecu, not a problem at all. Will use it again tomoz, to double check, but it appears we've found the problem.

Open up the 'revo'd' ecu to see if theres any water ingress tom.

glad u have found the problem tom, i think the problem i had with my car is sorted eswell, since doing all my polished bits and bobs, i moved the sensor that wasnt used on my rocker cover and sealed the other properly and it seems ok ever since...... which im so glad about

well took delivery of my new headunit this week and my old unit is with hooch being adapted for a single din conversion

Driving the car with the Oettinger Remap last night, and its such a smooth boost curve compared to the Revo one.

Had the back end out last night too, round a roundabout. Was only popping out for bread too! LOL .

Erm, unplug ECU, reconnect new ecu, turn ignition on, and on Vagcom 17 instrument, then i think readiness, then read, save, and then exit.

All done.

mates got his ST now, took me out in it today, fairly impressed with it, mostly by the exhaust note though, makes a stock 1.8T sound pathetic in comparison. the K.I.T stylee bird sounds well fit. she needs a name cos she talked more than I did.

Yeah the ST's are bloody nice cars, with an awesome sound, my Missus' Bro had one, but its gone now to be replaced with a fiesta Diesel.

there only awesome cars if you work for fords and have there discount, id never eva pay 19500quid for a ford! and your looking jst under 15 with discount, now thats alot of car for the money!

I don't work for Ford and I payed 16999 for my new ST2 with performance blue paint, dual climate control and bluetooth phone prep. I reckon that was a pretty good deal. Mind you Newport Ford's price was not so impressive. Like you say its a lot of car for the money what with recaro's, xenons etc. I specced up a new GTI with the same spec and it came to 24K, ouch.

Only had the car a week but I really like the car, it handles well and the engine and exhaust sounds great. This one is staying standard apart from a remap though, unlike the golf. I will wait till next year to get the map though. Should see about 270bhp then.

P.s. Carl the queer has for some reason given the bird that does the voice control in the car the name of Sarah.

I bet your chuffed if its an old code that needs updating. Make sure you find out if its stage 1 or 2.
