Just recieved this email:

Thank you for your email addressed to Sir Terry Leahy, our Chief Executive, to which I have been asked to reply.

I am sorry that you are unhappy with a bottle of Tesco Concentrated Screenwash that you purchased recently. I can appreciate your disappointment.

It is important that we do our best to provide the best quality products possible at all times, so we do value our customers' feedback when there is a problem with any of our products. In these circumstances, it is usually essential that the packaging is returned to our store, with a sample of the product if possible.

Our store will then inform our suppliers of your complaint, who can identify the problem and implement measures to prevent a complaint of this nature from arising again. You would also receive a refund, if you have your receipt, or an exchange of the item. However, on this occasion I would be happy to send you a £5.00 Tesco Moneycard, to cover the cost of the purchase, if you can provide me with your full postal address.

Thank you for contacting us. I'm really sorry that you had cause to complain and I look forward to your response.

Kind Regards

Hello there, id like to make a complaint about tesco's own concentrated screenwash (2.5L), ive used this for a while now, yet when i used the latest bottle which i purchased, i got a terrible smell through the washer jets! I am very unhappy with this product and would like to know what you are doing to recify the problem.

Regars. Robert."

i dont see how vodka diluted with screenwash can do your paint any harm. if u knew how much crap was in the rain you would never let your car get wet!

This is a big problem for new VAG cars with the spray jets. My Altea jets have blocked several times, the last time the dealer has to take the bottle out to clean it, remove all the jets to clean them & blow the pipes through with compressed air!!! I was using Auto Smart screen wash (comparitively expensive stuff) but it still turned to a nasty gel & blocked the lot up! I put a small amount of steam cleaner detergent/truckwash in the bottle & squirted it through to help clean it again after, did the job for me. I now buy the proper VAG fluid concentrate, not expensive at all & mega concentrated. HTH.

Dear Mr Saunders,

Thank you for your further email.

I am sorry that you were disappointed with my previous response. Please accept my apologies that you have had the added inconvenience of having to contact us again.

Normally, any reimbursement for cost incurred due to an alleged faulty product would be issued after an investigation had been carried out once the product is returned. I should have perhaps explained this to you in my previous email.

However, I am more than happy to arrange for a £20.00 Tesco Moneycard to be sent in the post for you as a gesture for the amount you had to pay to have your cars cleaned.

My apologies again that you have experienced this problem.

Yours sincerely
