I'm tempted to get a 3/4 sized plate, but after a quick measure up it looks like some of the number plate holder (the bit the plate screws to) on the LCR front bumper will still show. Does anybody have any pictures of this, just so I can see how much is on show?

Fancyplates.com do custom sizes, so if any part of the number plate holder is on show, I'll work out what size I need to cover it all and order that size :)
I ordered a tiny number plate for my Celica from Fancyplates.com and it turned out superb :)

Rob did you ever find out exact sizes for a smaller front plate?

Im thinking about the 3/4 sized front but unsure now as dont really want the back plate holder showing.

The measurements on mine are..

393mm long or about 15.5 inches
87mm high or just under 3.5 inches

The plastic showing beneath the number plate is 22mm or just under 1 inch.

So you need a 15.5/4.4-4.5inch plate to cover backplate?

Just nipped out and measured from the top of the plate to the bottom bit of the backing plastic thats on show, 4" would cover it perfectly. My plate is a snug fit at the top too, right under the bumper (If that makes sense).

I have a 3/4 size one from Fancyplates and I think it looks alot better than the standard size, it just seems to suit the car :)

I have found this company....

http://www.createmyplates.com/showplates/numberplate/step2.html

They also do the correct size 13''x4.25'' (holding bracket is about 12.75'' x 4.1'')

I kept standard UK text, with a GB flag border and made my centre text '' LCR CC2'' :)

Oh and if you type in Feb2007 into the redemption box you get a 20% discount:)

All in for front and rear plates, including postage is £25

That looks the exact same size as mine Mitchy. I'll get some pics if they are still on there when I get my car back tomorrow!

Yup, that does look good, I reckon if I get pulled for mine, I'll switch to that size too, maintains the stocky looking front I think..

Yes keep the back standard as to not draw attention and you may just get away with a smaller front plate:) I would advise keep the lettering standard aswell:)

If you have a FMIC it doesn't block the airflow to it either :)
