This thread makes me want to cry, I sooo want another Black MK2 16V but cannie find one for love nor money!!!
May go for a Red if I really have to but does anyone know of on or an impending sale of a decent 16V (Roelich please sell me yours you know you want to really.....)

Yeah she's dead but no pic's unfortunately, I was coming off a roundabout just before xmas onto a road which hadn't been gritted and just understeered into a big concrete block, was only doing about 25 max, it didn't even set the airbag's off on impact but the angle it hit it ended up on it's side so caused a huge amount of cosmetic damage.
They said it was only CAT D but from looking at it myself it needed a whole new front end from the bulkhead forward, door, side windows & rear 3qtr. At the time I hadn't got the time, space or money to get her back on the road.
Luckily an off duty copper and her husband were my witnesses as they followed me off the roundabout & nearly followed into the back of me so vouched I wasn't driving like a twat and the road was like an ice rink so insurance paid out in full with no arguments.
The most annoying thing was the road was due to be closed about 20 mins after anyway for re-surfacing (hence not been gritted) and all 5 workmen came over whilst I was waiting for the recovery truck and said "Blimey don't see many of them on the road, especially Black 16V's"
There were nearly 5 dead yorkshiremen on 18th Dec!
If anyone get's a sniff of a Black 16v for sale let me know,
I'll travel for the right car (went from Essex to Glasgow for my last one).
had a quality Numberplate to T160 KGB
