my service light just came on so just rang my local dealer and they want nearly £150 for the cheapest service.

ive never been one to bother to much about dealer service history, all my other cars have been few years old and i tend to use local specialists, but thought seens as the car is so new thought id keep it nice with SEAT, plus im trying to sell so wanna keep it in check.

does £150 sound about right? seems alot to me but im not really any the wiser.

ideally i just want the cheapest service thats going to get the light off and a stamp in the book because im selling the car

Unfortunately that seems to be the stealer rate for the basic oil change service lately.

OR - You can switch the light off yourself !!

I paid £100 for my service about November last year iirc. Probably sounds about right £150.

I was in the £200's for my first year service .. lol! so yeah I think u have a good deal.

Mines at the local SEAT dealer was £125 for its first service. That included a wash and hoover out.

£150 is about right for a second service. Its actually quite cheap compare to some of the other marques, if it was badged as a VW or Audi you'd be paying a lot more.

No 2nd service isn't usually too expensive, 3rd service is cheaper the 4th is the first expensive service. After then its a minor service every 10k and major every 20k.

Also have a cambelt change to worry about at 4-years/ 40k for the 1.4 petrol, that will cost a lot. I don't plan to keep mine that long.

What was the advantage of that? So you've paid more than it would have cost at SEAT and don't have a SEAT stamp in the book potentially meaning it will be worth less when you sell it on. Sorry but

you think a stamp helps the value of the car?
The vag specialist will ovbs stamp the book, a stamps a stamp, and it doesnt mean anything these days. so long as its serviced by a VAT registed company, the warrenty etc still applies. i could get mine stamped without the car leaving the driveway, doesnt mean naff all

BECAUSE VAG SPECIALIST A.P.D. ARE Official APPROVED BY SEAT AS OTHERS IN THE VAG GROUP.. I THOUGT IT BETTER AS THEY DID MY EXHAUST AND REVO !!!!
