Very interesting. I wanted the sound system but couldn't be sorted out before the '16 change happened. Would be nice if SEAT offered it as a dealer fit upgrade at some point.

Seat sound help

All, I have a Leon fr 184 that I am selling as I have got a cupra 290,. The 184 has seat sound the cupra does not. It it easy to nick it from my 184 for my cupra. The space saver is already in my cupra so taking the sub out should be easy how to take the wiring out and putting it my cupra is another story.... Can any one talk me through it.

Cheers

Sweeno

Ps even a call might help me

So does anyone know if the loom is already there for the sound system. Or do I need to cut in etc.

there is no any loom everything need to be wired up from unit to subwoofer. I just wondering if someone has done it? I already found out the price for the parts is around £120 and im really thinking to do that as my christmas present :)

For those wondering - I've rang seat customer care UK - and this CAN NOT be retro fitted - the part numbers listed are 'only available to customers with seat sound already fitted' it's not something that can be fitted after.
Dont shoot the messenger lol - still, may be able to be done... but by the sounds of it, seat won't supply the parts or fit it haha

If I ever think I might have a question that maybe seat customer services could answer, I just think, hey I'll just ask my dog instead , it will save me time and I will probably get a more satisfaction answer ;) :D

If you want sound system parts, speak to the parts chap at sere motors, or order them on line, I've got a link somewhere if you need it :)

I have just fitted this to my st with nav? If you look at the instructions on the link to the first post it was not like mine at all, it only took about two hours to do and it works very well,
I think its to do with your speaker option from factory, i can post what i done with some pictures if you are interested??
The only thing i have not been able to do yet is code it with vag com so you can adjust the sub level, still waiting on ross tech to update long coding helper for that

I would say it was easy for me, as long as you can solder
I have found out there there are three types of speaker setup in the leons,
Basic
High
Seat Sound
Mine already had High as its an FR with High Nav
I will take some pictures on the weekend and post up what i did :)

Would I be right in thinking the coding basically adds the additional volume menu on the head unit?
