Pretty annoyed if so as mine is this year's model!

The guy on the other forum has an 08 plate Cupra anyways so surely that can't be a new model?
The guy on the other forum says its a MKV Cupra in his avatar. Dunno where the 08 comes from. Also i am his father lol. Gauges look cool in the flesh also. Shame its not avail for all

Ah right- it's just cos in his bio bit on the left it says:

What car do you currently drive?:2008 - present MK5 1.4 TSI 180PS Cupra

They do look cool though! [B)]

Quick update, just got off the phone to those crazy Germans at Navigon and the chap I spoke to said he is going to find out if we are getting the update to our Navigon units and email me.

Fingers crossed......

surely there must be a way to make this work on the FR 1.2, because they are both turbo and the nav just reads the data from the obd, so both cars will have the data available for boost.

maybe Vag com has an option that can be changed to get the gauges on other cars?

i pick my new 1.2 tsi fr up on saturday so i will have a play with vag com when i get a chance and if i figure out how to get it i will post, i already figured how to enable the crossfader on the cars with no rear speakers, for those who want to retro fit, so the odds are good if there is a way i will find it.

i got my car today, very pleased with it, anyway i updated the garmin and it was out of date, but the only gauges i get are the coolant/outside air/revcounter so i guess the turbo guage is only on the cupra :(

i did notice that when you connect it to the car it chooses the model automatically after an update, maybe the model has to be set to cupra to get the boost gauge?

The SPS aren't set to a certain model, once it is connected to a car it then works out what car it's plugged in to

Sadly Navigon/Garmin probably don't have much motivation to supply an update. It's possible some pressure from Seat could help but realistically the best we can do is ask as DiscoStu88 has done above. We shall see.

Also as was previously mentioned I've had stuttering with bluetooth audio with the following devices:

iPhone 4 iOS 6 & 7
iPhone 4S iOS 6 & 7
iPhone 5C iOS 7
iPhone 5S iOS 7

Perhaps the stuttering could be used as leverage to persuade them to supply an update.

This whole issue is annoying. I got a facelift fr virtually as soon as it came out only for seat to replace the head unit with the sps compatible one several months later. Now it has happened again with the cupra as mine has a navigon unit which is running the current software without the new gauges. I think it's unfair of seat to continally change things like the head unit and sps when they have already face lifted a model or released a new one. Updates are all well and good but only if they are available to everyone across the board and dont disadvantage those who buy a new model soon after release.

Rant over lol.

Audio skipping problems and an apparent drop in manufacturer support for the model could easily be enough to persuade a dealer to replace the thing, they must have changed it about a week after I bought my FL Cupra.

As Mark says, best thing we can do is contact Navigon support and hopefully if enough people ring up (as I did) they might pull their finger out and supply us with an update.

If not then it's pretty out of order considering it's not even a year old!
