Bit late for that now, these do have fans. I don't recall seeing any in the UK that didn't. I have a hole in my
Headlight case from where I had HID's, perhaps that will aid in ventilation. I also haven't seen an increase
In voltage. I'll see how we go, if i notice the fans have stopped working I'll think about my next step.

Anyway, LED headlights. I think they're fantastic. I had HID's as I normally do with my cars, but I found the output to be really crappy. I've had problems with ballasts and flickering. I found these to be nice and
Bright, the beam pattern appears to be exactly the same as halogen just brighter and further. They are 6.5K temperature so give that pure white with a tint of blue which regardless of what people say i actually like. These were actually easier to fit that standard halogen bulbs because you put the plate that sits under the silver prong in first, then slide the LED through and it twists and locks. If your thinking of going HID I would say don't bother just get some LED's. It's a great compromise.

Glad all went well. It's that easy. And color 6500K should have a little blueish but nothing horrible like some crap HID have. I got 6000K that is pure white with no blue aura at all.
And that night picture says it all - those Leds are really bright. ;)

Mate I need your help. Call me thick but how did you fit yours?Mine I can't seem to work out and the instructions are about as useful as an ashtray on a bike.
Can you pull the down nit apart? I don't want to break any bits before I fit it.

On mine the silver circular bit that is normally on the end of a H7 that slots into the whole and the little bit on top points up well that should twist off somehow and that goes in on its own, the little clip goes over it then the LED goes through it and attaches reverse way it came off ( with mine it was a push and twist) the fan then sits outside the housing but there's enough room for the case to go back on. Does this make sense?

Makes perfect sense. Cheers. Thought it would need removing. It it seems well on there. I'll give it some stick now I know it's meant to be removed. Cheers fella.

Try giving it a push or pull and twist, I know you've probably already tried. What do the instructions say, as shitty as they may be ?

As Haze said it was a twist and pull kind of thing. It has two nipples which fit in a groove on the lamp.
They were ridiculously tight. I could easily have snapped one with the force I used!
The result it great, very bright white light.
I was trying to find an LED bulb for the fogs but they are H3 but have the little wires coming out of them.
Anyone have any idea how to find out if someone does a replacement?

I already had that idea of fitting LED to fog light but I tried mine on a fog day and the result was a very white screen in front of me. As a result I've learned (google helped) that LED aren't fog-friendly because the beam is very wide but not very deep. I think your idea of yellow halogen specific fog light is a best winner.

I've also done this on a previous car, LED dog lights are aesthetic only. If you actually use them then I wouldn't bother.

Do you think a yellow halogen bulb will give the look I want or will wrapping be a better result.
I think maybe wrapping as I would have yellow lenses which I'm quite keen on against all the black grills.

Of course yellow vinyl will give that special look. It's becoming a new theme among car enthusiasts.

Just keep in mind that halogen get quite hot and that vinyl must be prepared to support that heat or else you will have flaming fog light style :p

Maybe tinted? Don't quite know if there is yellow option...

I had transparent yellow vinyl on mine for ages never caught fire, I wouldn't worry about it. I'll try and find some pictures of you haven't done it already. I have since removed them and put black vinyl over, mainly because one is smashed from a pigeon. I think the vinyl is the only thing keeping it together at the moment .
