Impressed with how quick you get on with things. Glad you dropped the front, nothing worse than reverse rake. Ahhh FK's, my friend Dave always gloats that he has a set ! They're certainly worth the money by the look of it.

Well, I paid a small fortune for mine as they're stainless and adjustable dampening, however they do go nice and low, and also when I lowered the fronts more this afternoon, nothing was seized up at all! Hardest part was lining the wheel up with the holes for refit lol

I chopped away at the arch as much as I thought I needed, but its clearly not enough. Been out this evening and theres rubbing over relatively small bumps now kinda embarrassing when people look round at that lol

I think I'll have to drive as it is for a bit so I get a fresh idea of where the rubbing is and then revisit with a sharp knife!

Man I burnt like crazy that day, but still an awesome show.

Since Volksfest its sitting slightly lower and fitted 195/40/16 tyres as the previous set rubbed like crazy!

Shucks! The sun must have blurred my vision but it looks good from the photographs. A friend of mine has one and it sounds amazing.........determined to buy one in the near future.

A brief update.

Car has been in my garage since thursday as the amount of wheel wobble was crazy! So stripped the rear hubs and replaced the bearings at a cost of £40.00 to find that the wobble still remained. Decided to investigate further and I found out that the axle stumps which the bearings slide over have bent by 1mm on each side which could possibly result in my wheel wobble. Collecting a pair of axle stumps later on this afternoon which should get rid of my problem.

On a lighter note, spacers and camber shims have arrived which should be fitted once everything is back to running how it should be. New fitment will be:
Front: 8x16 ET19
Rear: 8x16 ET13

And one of my Carbon clad road bike as it was sat in the garage next to my workstation:

The rest will be retrimmed in good time but for now, the rear seats will be stripped and a false floor will be fitted.

The wheels are also at a new offset:
Front 8x16 ET19
Rear 8x16 ET10

Woah, that is bright! looks a really good job and good quality leather. Amazing how the seats look a lot more 'beefy' when they are leather How much did that set you back if you dont mind me asking?

Thanks RF860. The seats were trimmed in vinyl so the price was slightly cheaper at £300.00 (I'll admit it was cheaper as I knew the guy). Just need to save for the rear seats to be trimmed now so watch this space.

Spotted the SCN stand on sat at Edition 38 but didn't realy catch any of the owners to have a talk as I have no idea what you guys look like!

No recent shots of the wheels sorry as I'm realy not happy with how it sits as the 6L is a right to get low! I think Air is the only option and I've been talking to Geoff from Havair for quite some time. So might venture down that route sometime soon.

The 6 series platform is a bitch to get low in general. Air is an option, but a slightly cheaper option would be spring clamps. Mate has em on his MG ZR and hes had no problems so far. That or the option of cutting the springs, which ive contemplated, but really wasnt worth the hassle. Whats the clearance like on the rear inner arch with an 8 inch rim mate?

Totally agree with the headache of the 6L platform when lowering! Never thought about spring clamps but I might have a look into it and see what would be expected. Thanks.

I've also thought about cutting the springs but someone pointed out that the dampers might bottom out if I take too much away and I can only guess the same problem would exist with custom springs.

The rear wheels are 8J et 10 so the inner arch clearance is fine with loads of room to spare. Slight poke on the rear but no rubbing at all as the 195/40 sit perfectly inside the arch. Compared to my standard Seat Sport wheels, I have 13mm greater inner clearance and outer position has been extended by 51mm
