Hi,

i just bought my first seat - exeo CR 143ps on extremely low milage (1940 miles) reg last year, its pre-facelift (i'm not sure what difference is there between pre and post face lift)

can anyone guide me on following questions please:

change my halogen bulb to xenon?
-if so what bulbs i need, i saw few guys here changed to osram night breaker H1 and H7 is that correct?
change the headlamp to DRL face lifted model?
or other solution?

i'm novice in changing bulbs and car electric etc.. also i want to make sure it doesnt void seat warranty.

many thanks guys.

Do a search for these online:

MTEC H7 12v 100w COSMOS BLUE HID CLASS UPGRADE BULBS

I just put them in my car, same as yours and they look like xenon bulbs. Very impressed so far. You will need to upgrade your sidelights - 2x per light as well as they will look too yellow!

thanks mate, was this easy fit and any modification you had to do?

i believe H1 is for sidelights and H7 for dipped lights....can someone confirm that for me.

Definitely H7 for dipped lights, can't remember side lights to be honest but you can find out on Google. 10 mins to fit

I have the Osram bulbs fitted and they are a great improvement over the standard ones fitted to the car.

Although we all have different opinions, I would personally not go with anything that has a blue tint. The output is normally far less than a normal white bulb. Also, if the output is truly 100W they are most likely illegal.

Don't put 100w bulbs in your headlamps!!!! You are ment to use 55w only!!! Any higher and you will damage the reflectors and the wiring, risking a fire! Plus it's not road legal!!

Use either osram night breaker plus, Philips xtreme or ring ultima max bulbs,

And no you won't be able to retrofit the facet lift factory xenons or the pre facelift ones for that matter with out a lot of work and cost!!!

Just use night breaker for both, the ones that are cool blue etc are either not emarked as they are too blue to legally emark, or if they are the light output will be lower than a bulb with no coating, or a coating just on the tip of the bulb, and generally when you have full beam on it because its dark and you need to see....
