sachs or luk?????

hi just want to know if anyone knows which clutch and flywheel set up my car will have came with from new, sachs or luk? my car is a 2004 seat ibiza cupra tdi 160 engine code is BPX, i'm just trying to order a replacement 3 piece clutch as its started slipping, ive been in touch with one company and they told me it will be sachs, but then others tell me it could be either, any help would be grateful i just hope i dont have to strip it down to find out, thanks in advance :)

Wont matter as you need to replace the flywheel at the same time anyway so the clutch and flywheel will match each other and that's the main thing.

Sorry im not changing the flywheel just putting a 3 piece clutch in, i know they say you should and I've done it with many other vag cars I've owned but just putting the clutch in this one for now

Argh! :scary: That's just criminal! :D


Anyway in that case I've no idea, they probably used both makes for the same years depending on what they had at the time. You might be able to find out from a dealer using the vin number.

Haha, Tried the stealers they said only one was used for mine but there system didn't tell them which one......
