Wow love the plans. Looking forward to your progress mate. Think you got the priorities right, get the handling done with the quattro box and then look at power hikes

Thats the plan, only problem is becoming a master of slow progress
I also cant stop adding to my order with Issam

+1. Although its depressing coming over and seeing the stockpile of parts just collecting dust, but all will come good ;) it's gonna be insane and I shotgun first ride :D

Had a busy week this week
Had a trip with Barn straight from work to pick up the new purchase and it was a bit further away than i thought, so at 10.30 we arrived to get this

Then followed by an even slower trip how home.
Left at 6pm and eventually got home and to bed about 5am then up for work at 7am
Then yesterday had a few other leon owners over to check it out

So after a nice lie in today i opened the curtains to see this, all ready to get cracking on

Have to say the interior is very heavy but very comfy

I will crack on again with it tomorrow and try and push on
I can see when taking this apart how Audi charge that bit extra, mostly the same as other things in the group but just that extra bit of finishing and extra covers etc
I keep finding small boxes here and there and having to search the part number on the web to find out what it is.
The LCR should have definitely came with the Bose stereo too, it looks pretty good
Also since it is against the rules to sell on here please dont start posting in here asking about parts since i dont want my thread deleted, just look out on a well known auction site soon
I'll update again tomorrow with the results

No, S3 is a donor car so LCR is staying and going BT with the S3's 4WD haldex
Just easier and cheaper to buy the whole car and take what i want and sell the rest
This way when my engine is rebuilt i can mate it to the quattro gearbox all ready to get the rear work done

Looking forward to seeing it all setup 4WD. How long do you think it's going to take to be setup with BT and 4WD?

Probably quite a while, hopefully by the end of the year engine will be stroked and finished quattro box in with most of the bits ready to try and get the rear diff in and working
Hopefully graham will have done most of the ground breaking work by the time im ready for mine, also thinking of an even bigger turbo too

The oil pump went so lack of oil pressure.
The engine hasnt seized but looks like a garge took one of the caps off and there are signs of starvation but they never repaired it and how i got it cheap

Another day of cracking on but although feeling like more work was done it looks like less was.
Anyway the interior is all out know and the car does seem much shorter overall than the leon so not sure if the prop is going to have to be altered much

After the inside was out work was started on the outside and the rear bumper and side skirts were off so can see the back a bit better now
2012-02-26175822.jpg

Darkness stopped work today and probably most evenings in the week will hard to get on it but trying to get all the bumpers, etc out and get it up in the air an access to oily bits
After a quick look under the car while getting the rear bumper off the exhaust looks to sit below the propand be one of the lowest points.
Does anyone have any undershots of an OE LCR down pipe and cat and maybe the start of cat back.
The plan is to fit the s3 downpipe and cat when the engine is rebuilt but wondering if these sit lower in the transmission tunnel and wont mate with my LCR cat back?
One other thought to is with regard to the haldex itself, is this controlled by the ECU, if so would it be a good idea to keep the ECU and transplant this into my LCR as i assume the LCR wouldnt have the ability to control it?
Have to say a big thanks to barn for giving up his week end up to give me a hand too, i'm sure he has some pics to put up
