Hi Rob, Sorry to drop this one in.. would you or anyone be having the part numbers for the teardrop wing mirror covers? I've tried ordering them from my local stealers, the covers they sold me are for the MK2 Leon the person had never heard of teardrop wing mirrors on the LCR...

Try this. 1MO 857 538 A GRU

This is for a single ready primed cap and I'm not sure whether it's near side or off side but I guess if you give this to your dealer he'll be able to check and then find the opposite one. However, I found mine on ebay for about £8 each. And be careful as there are cheaper moulded black ones that come from basic model Ibizas which don't have a smooth finish ready for paint and are made of thinner more flexible plastic.

Got the resistors and it has turned the airbag light off. It is a 2.2 ohm, 1/2 watt carbon resistor if anyone needs to know. Airbag is enabled and no light - woohoo!

I've had to turn the boost down just now as I'm getting alot of wheel spin, the Forge UNOS boost controller feels more direct, more raw than the Apexi, so in turn boost comes in more aggressively, feels great and rips hard, but alot more wheelspin now!

After taking some advice from Alex at Backdraft, I've gone for some Millers CFS 10W40 motorsport oil for hard road and trackday use:

Free delivery and a free bottle of Ecomax from Opie Oils!

Got a few new mods coming up shortly, so will post them soon.

Looks top quality Rob. Any reason why you didn't go thinner (5 or 0), also does the different make up of the oil effect the warming up period.

Yes, thicker oil is recommended for hard driving and trackdays, as used and recommended by Backdraft, they use 10W40 and Bill uses 15W50 in his Ibiza! Alex uses 10W40 Millers in his 400+bhp beast as well. OE spec 5W30 is only really for standard road driving.

Car is running great, no problems!

Got these fitted now - Fluidampr crank pulley and lightweight alloy power steering pulley, both from INA:

I used new high tensile bolts and threadlock when fitting them. I have the alternator pulley as well but despite my best efforts, the original pulley refuses to come off - even using an impact gun and a vice didn't work! If I ever get it off or buy a new alternator, I'll fit it then.

The Fluidampr is amazing, it is said to reduce the clatter associated with single-mass lightweight flywheels .... and it really does!, Idle is smoother and quieter now and when getting on the power - it is just SOOO smooth! This thing really works, it's brilliant. :D Lots of info about the Fluidampr here:

I don't know if it's because of the Fluidampr or the new lighter PS pulley, but my steering feels lighter and smoother now as well.

Did an oil and filter change today too (so now running Millers 10W40 CFS competition oil), along with fitting a proper Goodridge -10AN oil return hose from the turbo to sump, didn't get pics though, will get some soon. I'm now very happy with everything, so it's all set for some hard driving and FUN! ;)

Big thanks to Issam (INA Engineering) for the parts and advice, plus great prices! :D
