Yea, loads of money for a little box of electronics. Ask David @ SERE Motors for a price too. But I'd deffo try a second hand one myself.

sorry to hear this rob:( but do you think that you've pushed the car to its linits

he is not running 600bhp, so nothing to do with limits, it just appears to be a wiring/electrical issue

Seems to be ECU/sensor related, but so far nothing has fixed it. Star have pretty much given up saying it needs a car electrical specialist to look at it. I phoned a mobile company this morning but they refused to travel up to Star to look at it, saying it was too far away!

All my WMI kit has arrived now, everything needed to fit and get it running ... but I have no working car to fit it to! :(

Tank has a level indicator, outlet to pump and a vent hose in the cap, to stop vacuum and also to take any methanol fumes outside the car.

Ok I have my car back, but it's still not fixed yet! But I now have some info to go on so I can set about fixing it myself.

I have ordered some heavier duty battery cable and a larger, heavier duty battery with higher cranking power, so that should fix the non-starting issue. Either the Apexi boost controller is goosed or the actuator is, so I'm going to bypass the Apexi with a manual boost controller to find out if it's the Apexi or not.

When I'm running the new battery cable I'm going to install the WMI kit at the same time.

Good news, I disconnected the actuator arm today and the wastegate clonked shut - the arm was holding it open, hence no boost! I took the end adjuster off and it was a little bit bent, so I straightened it and refitted it, adjusting it so the wastegate is firmly shut now. Will know tomorrow if that has fixed it or not. Just glad the wastegate wasn't jammed open or anything, it moves freely by hand so either it just needed adjusting or the actuator itself is goosed. If it is I can get a new one from Forge.

Electrical upgrades will be done next week and hopefully she'll be back to all ok again.
