Thank you.

Latest updates - The FLI SWAT 5 head unit I got was dead, so sent it back and got another one, this one worked, so the old Pioneer head unit and CD changer are removed now.

Next jobs are fitting the Backdraft baffled sump and the oil cooler, which will be done soon.

Willie - my engine has only done 39k miles so I doubt it needs a new pump.

Mr Roboto - no, haven't scraped it yet, it's usually the underside that gets it anyway, plus it's not a daily driver, weekends only and never around town.

Here's some pics taken today, was cleaning up the engine bay and finishing off the lid of my DIY carbon airbox (now with heat shielding inside).

General overview:

Got rid of the clamps that bit into the silicone hoses and now using t-bolt clamps - no blow-offs!

Finished airbox, encasing the big Roger Clark Motorsport cone filter and alloy trumpet, it has rubber edge trim to seal the box and heat shielding inside to keep the filter cool, the box is bolted to the inner wing inside the box:

I will be making changes to the coolant and oil catch tanks soon - smaller coolant tank and dual Saikou Mitchi tanks so the block and head both get proper breathing and filtering of vapours.

Spent some time today cleaning lots of places nobody sees, but still important as they see lots of water and dirt. Cleaning all the door shuts and under the doors, the sills etc. etc., still comes up good for an 8-year old car - no rust anywhere!

Although shots are of the passenger side, drivers side is just the same! :D

I have decided not to fit the baffled sump or oil cooler as after some careful consideration I have decided I am not willing to risk my car on trackdays, combined with the high cost of the trackday (£65-110) plus trackday insurance (£80) plus all the other nutters on track who drive an inch off your rear bumper - it's just not worth it.

So I am selling both in order to fund a Snow Performance water/methanol injection kit. After seeing DPJ's amazing results I am hopeful of getting my current setup up to around the 320bhp mark, maybe more. I have spoken to Jabba Sport and Scott at USRT and he's given me amazing advice on what's the best setup to go for.

Well it's brand new and cheaper than Backdraft's price - plus I'll throw in the sump sealant and oil return pipe gasket for free! ;) £250 delivered to your door.

Got all the info I need from Scott @ USRT with regards to nozzle sizes etc. for the WMI kit, so as soon as the sump is sold I'm going to order the kit.
