Just back from collecting my car from Stainless Creations. Have to say the 3" exhaust is superb, seems fairly quiet at idle and when crusing at 70mph, obviously loud when getting on it! The turbo seems happier too, more responsive and coming on boost feels smoother and quicker.

Overall I am very happy with it - big thanks to Stainless Creations, they really know their stuff and have done a superb job. :D

Excellent Rob, your thoughts on exhaust sizing were obviously spot on

Found a rather amusing post from just after you'd had the GT2X first installed.... (May 2006)

"In all honesty I've grown sick and tired of constantly changing bits, I really can't be bothered changing anything else anymore. Once the OE engine mounts are done that's it for this car, no more."

*Ahem* [B)]

Carry on lad!

True Craig, but the mounts were trial and error (as with everything!) until I found the right ones, the 034/INA mounts were garbage, the Vibratechnics ones are superb, as is the VF Engineering dogbone.

Very true yes, but as Michael Jackson said ... "This is it"! Unless something fails or breaks, I am done with this car.

It's all good Rob :) It was quite funny to be re-reading all the old stuff again, all the talk about the hybrid K04s away back then - happy days!

Always been good to watch how you've taken the car further and further, the ingenuity from 5+years ago just hasn't diminished at all ;):D

Thanks Craig! :D

Nothing much to report, I thought the fuel pressure seemed a tad low, so I got a new 3-BAR FPR and fitted it, turns out I was right as the new one has brought the pressure back up to where it should be.

I also got hold of a 2nd-hand Forge 006 diverter valve (the old style with the longer spout) and a new service kit for it from Forge. New piston, seals and lube, now it's perfect (using a blue spring). Definately works better on my setup Vs the 007P as it flows more air and boost transition on part and full throttle is alot smoother now. :funk: (sounds a bit louder too - bonus!)

Tons of snow here now - so no updates or working on the car for a while!!! :(
