On my mission to have the quitest ibiza i have sound deadened the door cards.
Car is going into the dealer (again!) for the same leak in the passenger footwell. Was so badly wet that the wiring for the airbag is damaged. Also, the rattle/rumble from the gearbox/clutch is back again so this need to be investigated. Nothing but problems unfortunately!

What's this sound deadening stuff like in terms of weight? Is it heavy? You might not only have the quietest Ibiza soon, maybe the fattest too
It's not very heavy. I weighed it before and I think 1m2 was 1.5kg. Not 100% on that though. I doubt you could fit enough to be the difference between a 12stone driver and a 15 stone driver, so I doubt you'll notice
This stuff is less heavy than the first lot of stuff i used but seams to do the same job. The engine is pretty capable to carry the little extra weight, not as if it's a 1.0 litre lol.
Got all the carpets and sound deadening out the car just now and the road noise is horrific lol. Volume on the radio has to be at 12 to be heard ha ha

Would it not have been more effective to put the sound deadening on the inside of car exterior? (Behind the plastic rear door card rather than on the door card)

Yeah, i saw that, nice new car btw. Had a quick look at them, the mpg is not too good compared to the ibiza
The sound deadening is just to make the ibiza bearable lol. I was thinking of getting rid but tbh i shouldn't really spend any more on cars lol.
Ebay, search car sound deadening. Can't really remember how much i bought tbh. Maybe 4m2?

No white shows everything worse! No idea about the amount i used tbh, can't remember.
Ok, seriously considering changing my headunit because the 'Alana' one is a bit crap really (not the first time somebody has asked why my radio is called alana lol). I've been looking at this one but not sure if it will support the s/w controls. Anybody know anything about 'ICE'?
