If you open the drivers door, look at the end of the dash. The plate right at the end comes of (youll need a flat head screwdriver to prise it on the left side). It can be a bit of a pain I find. Should be a 5A fuse, id think.

If you check all of the fuses and they are OK, you could try puting a volt meter across the contacts in the light cluster to make sure its not just a bad connection.

From memory its not very clear atall. Just try pulling out all the orange fuses to see if theyre blown. if not you could try the others. There is a siagram of which fuse does what, but I cant find it - sorry!

Do not just go pulling random fuses out.

Some of those fuses may cause air bag lights to come up if you dont disconect the battery first.

The fuses are designed so that you can see if there is a blown one, just look at the metal blade part of the fuses and see if any look blown. (pictures in the owners hand book)

Personally I don't think it will be a fuse, I doubt that there is a fuse that's only job is to protect one reverse lamp. If there was a fuse gone I would expect other lamps to be dead too.

see these 2 pics below for what to look for, you do not really need to remove fuses to tell it they are blown, you can see from the end that shows.

In my experience it is difficult to impossible to tell if a fuse is blown without looking from the side. I wouldnt have thought you would have had problems with airbag lights, but am always willing to be proven wrong.

Ive just had a look in the handbook and there is a single 15A fuse which soley runs the reverse light. It is fuse 19 which is one of the small fuses at the top. It is 3 across from the right, and 4 down. (have a look at the little fuse card to check if your not sure)

I have the same problem and they said it wasn't a warranty repair, it was just some wires that had gone, still to find them yet though! Suppose i should take the battery out and have a look at the switch. Does anyone have a picture of the top of the gear box and the switch i should be looking for?

I've too had a similar problem spent a couple of hours checking bulbs and fuses, finally i thought it may have been the gearbox switch, but when i took it in to the seat garage, it turned out to be a wire running from the gearbox to the front of the car (sorry cant get any more technically then that as the technicians didn't say much else).

Are you sure it's a 15A fuse solely for the reverse light?

That's a 55W lamp IIRC, so at 12V that's only capable of pulling 4.6A - it makes no sense for it to be fused up to 15A surely?
