Just a quicky for anyone that has fitted their tip then logged flow afterwards, is there an increase in flow, if so what sort of improvement was there, both figures and ass dyno?
cheersamundo.

also on a red car, red or black? blue is out...

i'll give you a tip, make sure you have the correct size hoseclips/jubilee clips for the job, coz the ones you have to take off are "one use" clips and cannot be refitted!!!!!!! Think you will notice a difference with the new pipe on i know i have!!!!

ive watched my samco upper fmic pipe expanding when under load on the rr, id imagine a similar neg force would collapse a mapped 20vt intake pipe, 50/50 at the mo if ill have it fitted by the weekend.
did a bit of logging and am getting consistant 174-175 g/s at the moment so ill have another run with vagcom when i get it on. i wonder if itll help my consistantly under achieving boost figures too?

The section that connects to the turbo is metal on all 1.8 20vT's. Its the section between this and the MAF that is plastic/rubber and crushes under boost.

fitted it last night and what can i say, what a pain in the arse.the recirc sounds a little quiter n general though sometimes is quite distinct release unlike the normal rushing air noise. i seem to be 2psi down though im going to recheck all clips just in case, photos to follow when i get the pics of my phone. the car does seem to want to rev right round now but if i do that im missing peak boost/torque.

apparent loss of boost was actually my gauge pipe beginning to expire!
vagcom says im now hitting 2200-2280 mbar consistantly now (ive seen a couple of runs peak arond 2350)where before i was lucky to be getting high 2100's, my airmass has increased to a steady 177-178g/s and since fitting my dogbone bushes my front intercooler pipes are being squashed by the plastics of the bumper, ive obviously not trimmed enough off so theres more to be gotten out of her! car actually pulls round to 6k+ happily now.
total pain in the arse to fit but worth it for the extra breathing.
