Replacement rear parking camera

Hi folks,

I’ve recently bought a Seat Leon FR first edition which comes with parking sensors and rear camera. However I’ve noticed the camera picture is quite blurry. Looking at the camera I can see that there is condensation on the inside of the lens so was planning to replace it.

The camera has the following codes on it
5WA980556A
0193 H21

When looking for a replacement camera I’ve noticed that there are different versions of the camera available i.e. A, B, C and D would I need to buy the A version or would they all work ok.

Also does the H21 have to be the same as I’ve seen H17 on one of the cameras I was looking at.

Any advice appreciated.

Any will fit, only one with the same software/part number will be able to be configured by a main dealer. They're not plug and play, the require software configuration and calibration.

We keep new genuine cameras in stock, and we can carry out the necessary configuration & calibration. Usually in and out in under an hour 😎

I already bought a camera off eBay but have realised that it is a 5WA980546D 🤦‍♂️
Can this camera be configured to work

How much do you charge for a replacement camera and calibration?

We'd charge £295 inc. VAT supplied and fitted, using a new genuine camera & including calibration

Hi

I bit off topic. My rear camera lens fell off. I glue it back but after that I noticed that camera angle isn't correct and I can see only a part of a car on display. I would like to remove the lens but need to get camera out of the bumper. Do I need to remove whole rear bumper or is possible to remove only plastic on the bumper in which camera is installed?
Thx for your kind answer

The bracket can be removed without removing the bumper, it has a tab that allows it to quickly be removed. You can press the tab by simply inserting a trim tool.

Once the lens has fallen off, the camera will never be the same again. It needs to be replaced

Hi, thankfully you don’t need to remove the bumper. I was able to put my hand up the back of the bumper. Then if you feel at the lens end of the plastic housing there is a plastic clip which if you press in you can then push the camera housing down and out.

When refitting fit the back of the housing in the bumper first then push the front of the housing up into the bumper and you should hear a click as it locks in place.
