remap 0 to 62 time

From what I've read, remaps are best value for the improvement in the way they make the car feel due to their different power delivery, rather than just their power improvements. 0-62 times don't say much about a car IMHO. 
+1 to that, 0-60 isn't really improved that much, due to problems getting the power down.

if its dry and u no your car well u can pull off very quick so like i said in prevous post i personally have noticed its a fair bit quicker 0-60 and everywhere else in generalNot really untrue, and I know my car very well. If you've got slightly worn/**** tyres you're going to struggle to pull off a good 0-60 time. I agree that it is improved - as I said, there isn't 'much' improvement, but there's no way you can knock 2 seconds off the time!! 
You only have to watch last weekends BTCC to see that even the top professional drivers find it extremely difficult to launch a powerful FWD car; the one Honda just spun up his wheels for the first 5 seconds of the race, and moved about 5 metres.

Al, dont some of the guys claim on mk5gti that with their vbox they have been getting 0-62 times in around 4.6 secs?
I agree though that the 0-62 times dont really improve, thats why alot less powerful cars can stick with a stage 2 plus car till 3rd gear.
Used to hate it when people asked how quick my 360hp beast did 0-62 in as its not representive of how quick the car is. But now im rockin 4 wheel drive I just tell em 3.5 secs lol

DSG cars, yes maybe. I would be surprised (pleasantly) if someone genuinely got a manual K04 2.0T anywhere near 4.9 seconds.
The thing is that you could get a standard car to go faster fro 0-60 than the book says, but you are gonna be tearing it a new hole doing so.
0-60 is B/S yes, but in reality, traffic light grand prix is something most of us have done, and with that being the case, a BMW X6 would be probably as good as a manual 2.0T.

Both my mates stock megane sports, actually both were quicker off the line than my cupra, come 3rd gear though....
