right sorry to drag this thread up from the depths!

but bit of change in plans, all 4 alloys need refurbing now, and so a colour change at the same time is ideal.

have found a place near me in fact across the road from my work, who will refurb them and sand, prime, spray and laquer them in anthracite for £140 quid....

i know its not a powder coat finish, but i think this is a good price.

will it still look like a good finish if it is juts sprayed?

just the sort of answer i was looking for....

i want the alloys refurbed anyway because they are starting to look a bit worn...do you think £140 is a good price for all refurbed and sprayed new colour..about 35 a corner?

you checked out local car hire ? cheap as chips here for a few days and it's not like you need a VIP barge just for a couple of days after all

last time my brother had his done he hired a van (cheaper) and shifted a load of junk over the 3 days as well so bonus all round

yea did look at car hire, but really trying to keep expenses down, and i thought at £140 and the car only be in for a day it sounded like a good deal. I may try to barter him a tad lower, but im doubtfull.

only thing i was concerned about was the fact that they will be sprayed and laqured and not powder coated and i know this is a better finish, im sure the finish will still look good...

120 for all 4 to be powder coated thats very cheap...been quoted just over 200...but almost a week off the road, so would need to either splash out for new set of wheels or rent a car...and dont really want the hassle, thats why i think 140 for all 4 to sprayed is ok, considered it can be done whilst im at work

Thanks for the Wheel Specialist link Andy P. I got a quote there of £266 for a full refurb in anthracite. They've got a branch about half an hour away from me, but I'll use that figure to get quotes from others and see how they compare.
