Really hard to explain this but between the rev counter and speedo there is that display Speed etc etc..(sorry do not know its proper name :s )...

Every now and again it comes up with like a Red car icon and what looks like the sensors all around it and the car will make a warning bleep......

Im confused as too what it maybe as i cant find anything in the manual and i cant get it to replicate at the dealership

any ideas from on here

The car is a Cupra 300 manual with just under 5k on it

The center screen is call the FIS which is where you can see lots of helpful information.

The Red car is a warning by your front radar saying you are to close to the car in front.
If you don't respond quickly enough it will apply the brakes to stop you having an accident.

sorry cant remember what Its called but its there to help you.

Page 212 in handbook:
Emergency brake assist system
(Front Assist)*
Topic introduction
Fig. 204 On the instrument panel display:
pre-warning messages.
The objective of the emergency brake assist
system is to prevent head-on collisions
against objects that may be in the vehicle’s
path or minimise the consequences of such
impacts.
Within the limitations imposed by the environmental
conditions and by the system itself,
the function acts in staggered fashion,
depending on how critical the situation is. Initially
it warns the driver, and if the driver’s
reaction does not occur or is insufficient, it
activates an independent emergency braking.

saying that it has come on when a car has decided to jump out on me at the lights and once going round a corner a tad fast so makes perfect sense for it to be that above.........no wonder i couldnt get it to do it at the dealership as well haha....put my mind at rest that has.......

cheers

Not surprised but it is sad that the dealer did not know straight away.

Car Length In Front
As others have said it’s the Front Assist.

I’ve linked a video that shows the display you’re talking about, it’s in the bottom right of the video about 60 seconds in.

Edit:
Would help if I’d pasted the link! :sleepy:

I like it how every single car on the road is a Seat (except the lorries, unless they are Seat too) and the impatient 'driver' pulling out is a Cupra :)... Ibiza Cupra that is...

LOL. to make it more realistic it should have been a BMW driver:dance:
