What exactly makes them 'Red Eye' models as opposed to just standard Ibizas?

yeh maybe. I know Audi's have Red Eyes too. Might mosey on down to the stealers and see if they know...

they were all 90 brake tdis mate, no red i existed. someones rebadged it.

Well it's not badged as red eye, just the normal badges on the back and the red tdi on the front. It's only when you type the reg into a computer (at insurance places/dealerhips) where it brings up your model it says Ibiza tdi red eye. pretty sure it was stated as such on the registration doc too but i havent got it to hand.

could just be a higher spec interior over sdi etc, all tdi;s ive seen have the red badge up front.

yeh i know, i was just sayin those are the only badges on there. Don't think the interior spec is any different, it's got a recaro interior at the mo but that was fitted afterwards by the previous owner. But like i said, prob best to just make a trip to the dealers and see what they know. Will keep you guys posted, for whoevers interested
