hope it is covered as mine has stopped working too,

I was worried to start off with as i thought they may have the same problem as the mk4 golfs, which used to have a split hose and would mean all the water would end up in the boot, but there are no signs of wet carpets etc, another thing for the service.

damned right it will be done under warranty
just had mine done. same problem, the pipe comes off the jet and leaks out inside the boot door. if its frosty it freezes up the lock, solid.

polo suffers the same problems

iv had the same problem, the pipe first came off the front of the car by the washer bottle and 4 weeks later it came off at the jet in the back. Dealer fixed it under warranty :)

My rear washer Jet isn't working too well. Its still sqirting a bit onto the screen but its coming out of the boot latch as well. In trying to find the problem i have managed to soke part of my boot now!

How long does it take them to fix the problem??

I'm going to have to go to a VW dealer to have it fixed though as the nearest Seat dealer has gone bust and I haven't got time to go anywhere else, which also means paying for it :(

Ta.

ive already had the washers fixed under warrenty on the 1.2 and they need doing again! The cupra needs them sorted aswell! I hate the cars being back in the UK, going back to spain after new year so hopefully that will be the end of the freezing!

My rear washer stopped working Saturday night, upon investigation yesterday, the hose had come off in the boot panel, I thought i'd left that problem behind when i sold my mk3 Ibiza. :wtf:

Wot a complete ball ache :censored: it is to remove the boot panel as well. Took me 15 mins in the freezing cold just to get the panel off far enough to get my hand in to push the hose back on. I had it down to a 5 min job on my mk3 as the panel had been off that many times to fix it. Not looking forward to having to do again.

just had mine done. same problem, the pipe comes off the jet and leaks out inside the boot door. if its frosty it freezes up the lock, solid.

Will wash the grease off the central locking motor and connecting rods too in the panel. I mean the stuff is strong enough to clear the stuff off your winsdcreen so it bound to have the same effect !

get to a dealer and don't keep trying to use it,

This is the same problem that plagued Mk4 golfs, and the design is not very good. Usually hose comes off in the rear. Not good for your carpet if it leaks everywhere.

Add me to the list too, happened last winter :)

Next time it happens though it's out of warranty, so I'll have to wrestle with the boot panel myself.

Anyone know how much new boot trims are if I break it ? (Already a couple of clips broken :( )

IIRC you have to do the following:
1) Remove the panels behind the light clusters, one screw behind each
2) Remove the tailgate catch surround, two screws underneath
3) Remove the screw hiding down the bottom of the grab handle recess
4) Pull like f*ck

It's clipped in REALLY hard, you've got to pull very hard to get it off. I suspect there's a fair chance of breakage. Also some of the metal clips will get left behind in the tailgate, you'll need to pull these out with pliers or similar, and refit them to the trim panel. A couple of the plastic holders in the trim where the metal clips sit got broken on mine.

Good luck :)

EDIT: I remember someone saying it was easier to pull the trim off if you sit in the boot and shut the tailgate...
