Rear lights

WTH? Think that was a bit of a steal matey!

Should have took them off before selling and put them back on Ebay....Id have gave you £13 at least, lol.

But seriously Iv seen them on the road and although the pics dont do them justice, in the flesh I think they make a big difference. I'll certainly be having a look around for a set. Thats if I dont find them on ebay for £12 before hand!

the reason i got them so cheap was because he actully listered them as lexus lights, sent them in a lexus light box but sent me his old darker lights trying to con me off lol whos laughing now mowhahaha

Also... does anyone know if the standard lights can be disassembled for a DIY effort?

I bought a spare light from a scrappy to try and take appart a while ago.

The lenses are bonded to the rear part of the light housing and I found it impossible to separate them without cracking the lense. It's not a soft glue....it's rock hard and doesn't turn sticky when heated.

Have you looked at the Sportrider/Ecomotive rear lights? They are darker than the origional red rear lights. FK also make black rear lights but i've read that the quality and fit of them isn't very good.

I have the Dectane black rearlights. The quality is good but the screws didnt fit so I had to use the screws from original lights.

Out of interest does anyone know when the above sport rider lights were produced (For eg, 2005>)?

sport riders are 06 onwards model i think... they are all 57, 08 58 plates i think

i prefer the cupra lights to both sets of red ones

mine is an 05 plate and has had the cupra ones on from the start. I get really bad fogging problems even though i've done all the hairdryer tricks. Do later versions of the lights fix this problem?

Can you DIY old ones to make the surroundings black?

are these defo for the sport rider rear lights? i just need the drivers side , im not sure which one it is, if i ring the dealer they can never tell me a part number for some reason
