when i lock the car it will lock but when i unlock the car that specific door does not unlock. always have to open it from the inside...which is very frustrating.

it doesnt unlock from the inside if i press the button near the handbrake to unlock the car.

It did me too. I raised this question and the advice to drill into a certain part within the mechanism and squirt oil fixed this issue first time. There is a YouTube video on it. So pleased. Not difficult. Honest

Slamming the door shut seems to get it working also! Failed the MOT today because of it today. A slam of the door after spending 10 mins trying to get it working done the trick!

I followed that video posted, took off the 2 panels on the rear passenger door. Seems like someone already drilled the hole so I just sprayed a bunch of WD40 in. Closed the door, locked the car, unlocked and it's working perfectly! Even if I need to do this twice a year it takes 2 mins.

Hi all

I have a 2010 Leon FR 170 which has developed an issue in the last couple of days.

After unlocking my car the passenger side rear door won't open from outside.

If I use the inside handle, close the door, the outdoor handle then works fine.

Lock the car again and it's back to not opening again!

Only started in Friday morning so I am baffled!

pS I have tried wd40 in case the latch was dirty and sticking!

Many thanks

Matt

PS - going to start new post about getting the door panels off!!!!!!

It sounds like the lock actuator at fault there is on here somewhere info on how to fix it
you drill a wee hole through the plastic of the actuator and give it some wd40. I have
Now done this to 3 of my lock actuators and has fixed it every time.think the grease
Dries out through time and it makes it stick.
