thanks forthe comments :) bit annoyed with myself today really couldnt get the start right and had a few problems too

it was also either blistering hot or hammering it down with rain too :(

oh and on the strip you dont have to go when the lights turn green i let the corrado go and was really consertrating on my 1/4mile time not beating the oponent got half way down the strip catching the corrado up as it was slow and boost pipe popped off and lost the jubaliee clip:lol: was the first real time i got a great start too :censored:

it was just an opertunity to get some practice for santa pod soon

i won fastest seat on saturday where i run a 0-60 is 4.3seconds and a 14.1 which i was dissapointed with! it is capable of 13-13.5 but just need to practice loads just seemed every run i would fcuk up someway or anouther

and thesurface wernt fab either!

I was wondering about that, I reckon alot of people were thinking it was a straight 1 on one drag race. (well at least my little boy did! he loved it!! only 2 yrs old and already a petrolhead!)

So the timer just starts whenever you set off then?

oh, whats this?...

Good going rash, sounds like a quality day, shame about weather and launches, new it would be a buggar!

Yep, gaz was running on one of the best drag-strips, hot day=hot tarmac=good grip, hot (16 inch) tyres and the fmic.

Plus the torque you are putting out did your launches no favours!

LSD, practice and better weather will see you running 13's :)

Good speaking to you a GTi Rash, custom code is the way forward i reckon! The pictures don't do your car justice mate, i think its got just the right balance between being a sleeper car and still looking sorted to the trained eye.

Saw your run down the strip (got one hell of a redneck waiting for it!) although i know your not happy it certainly suprised some people near us. Better times will come mate. :D

seriously dissapointed with them really only real time i gt traction look what it showed (4.3secs 0-60) just a shame the boost pipe popped off that run as im sure i was looking at low 13's! think that run endded up with 16

thanks for the comments on the car  top bloke nice to meet anouther decent scn member!!!!!! gota new engine mount and the exhaust fixed for pod on the 8th hopefully i will get some decent runs there :) so much more for this car to come

even looking into quatro for it  cutting the floor and custom 4x4 sounds animal :D more traction mods for me first!

got a vibratecnics uprated enine mount fitted yesterday and it feels like it responds even quicker! you can feel all the vibrations from the engine so its not for the moaning seat owners type but for people like me who are mad on performance ect its a must! my old rear engine mount was fcuked completly from engine movement  was knocking and everything! got the gaskets all changed too (turbo-manifold and downpipe-centresection)and it sounds MINT!

these parts are on order at the mo!

1.jabba rear anti roll bar (G.B) will be getting it powder coated bright red too :)
2.quaife limited slip diff (16th of july)
3.stage 2 clutch kit (spec) stage 1 isnt enough :D (16th of july)
4.forge intercooler to inlet manifold red silicone hose

think that will be it for the car for a while then!!! gotta really get back into my weight lifting and going on holidays and of course piss ups with the lads been really unsocial to get my car where it is :(

Blimey Rash, thats another couple of K's isnt it? just gone through this whole thread again  and your car is ace :D Really need to get rid of the F*cking arosa now though as its **** slow and crap to drive
Is there much left to change now? obviously internals, then another map etc. But boy this thing will be awsome with the ARB and the ATB diff.

Need a passanger ride in it soon though ;) if your ever feeling board and want to stick some miles on the clock ;) you can pop up :p

 nice try fella
the clutch is cheap as im just paying the diffrence between the stage 1 and the stage 2 as stage 1 isnt enough so jbs have helped me out there!

the diff is £1250 fitted iirc and getting the manifold to turbo flanges skimmed with new gaskets is obviously free!

all this ^^^ with the rear arb the car is !complete! in my eyes and i really then will be spending money on holidays and the mrs ect oh and of course all the shows :D wont be bringing the car to santa pod as at the moment there is no exhaust fumes exitting the tail pipe all is leaking from the manifold turbo and it doesnt sound NICE! but as revs are kept to a minimum i done 315miles to 1 tank :D !BORING!

arb is on the way to me now and the powder coating mate is ready to repouder it bright red :D and the diff ect is happening on the 16th of this month :D
