Hi Guys. Im currently running a Green dynawist which has seen better days. Ive heard some good reports on the Ram Air Maxflow filter, but how does its compare to the Green Dynatwist? Is it worth changing and will it give a louder induction noise and dumping sound?

Also can an anybody tell me where i could get my hands on one for my Mk3 Cupra and how much it would cost.

Cheers. ;)

I dont think i'll be needing a breather as i already have a green one. Will be in touch in the new year.

Cheers and Merry Christmas! :funk:

Its a foam filter inside, steel mesh reinforced.
very similar looking to Dynatwist (which is cotton gauze)

dose anyone know why that would be louder, surly if it lets more sound out would that meen it lets more air in? or have bigger holes in it wich would let more crap in than the dynotwist, not slagging eather off, but dose make you think.

Neck size depends on car fitment... (smaller ones have insert which is used to make up the gap) - 70mm small, 75mm larger

Filter as in whole unit in its ally case?

Foam looks to be free-er flowing, hence noise, smaller filter in the housing compared to Dynatwists.. (more space in housing, making it sound louder?)
Filtration is dealt with by sticky polymer coating to catch dirt etc.

you will need to measure the Dynatwist neck size in the base and size a filter (RamAir open cone) to suit, if there's one the same size.

MAF friendly as each other in respect to no coating comes out of them.
careful mounting req'd on either to avoid unwanted shocks & vibrations.

Remembering MAF's are a shite unlreliable device anyhows.

I dont think RamAir's filter range is very wide on normal fitments compared to Greens..
see what the neck size is and I'll see whats listed (but not a lot on the info I have here currently)
