Under nearly all conditions, I've found that clean glass is the best fix for these problems. I have used rain x and their antifog products in the distant past when car heaters were crap, in fact I've probably still got them, even used antifog cloths, they did work and improce things back then, but as I've said make sure the glass is really clean and try to find out why the car is damp inside - if that is your problem. Driving in cold weather with wet hair and/or clothes is a big problem though.

try to find out why the car is damp inside.

in this weather with sleet, snow and heavy rain it's nearly impossible to get into the car dry as at a minimum your shoes will be wet. Best thing to do is deal with it for the winter then change the pollen filter when the weather gets better and starts to dry up. Seemed to sort my problems last year after the snow.

Car pro are just about to release fog fighter. This is a product that actually works, like the rest of the car pro range.

There's videos about of them boiling a kettle directly beneath the windscreen and it not fogging

Very true, I have VAG rubber mats and don't tend to notice any misting, though my journeys are long enough to dry off the water - if it gets to the stage that the melted snow is not clearing (you can clear your shoes/boots a bit before getting into the car), then I mop the water up when I get back home.

Really back to what I said, deal with any dampness that is collecting in the car.

I ve used RainX for years now and find it works well but its best if you fit new wiper blades at the same time. I normally put it on the screen and then run the heater for 5 mins before wiping over with a damp cloth. Finally buff with cotton cloth.

Antifog ive tried but did not find in much use. :(

In the snow last year i put a couple of sheets of news paper in the footwell when i pick up the kids.

Use a motorbike and then you'll know fogging!! When you're breathing hot breath on to a piece of cold plastic only an inch or two from your face, it's bound to mist up.

I have tried rainx and fog x and 'let me see where i'm going' x, and they are all rubbish. The only thing I use is Fog city;

Now, all they need to do is make a car version... :)

Not telling
I bought the Halfords stuff in this AutoExpress test and it has been pretty good. I found wiping the windscreen down with IPA prior to applying the rain repellent to be important otherwise it looks smeary. Tricky to get right TBH

I use the Rain X spray bottle that acts as a cleaner too. Usually apply it every few weeks / washes. Never had a problem with it smearing either, im fussy about wipers too and slightest sign of them smearing or getting noisy I replace them

You want the car pro stuff that's about to be released. They've tested it on glasses, mirrors etc. it'll be perfect for the inside of a visor

I, too, have the Rain-X 2-in-1 stuff:

http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/...pellent.aspx?gclid=CM6i2ZHngq0CFVBTfAodpAmKSw

I've been using it for years and never had any issue with it - no smears and great water dispersal.
I apply it to just the windscreen, front windows and the rear.

It even gets used on my bike helmet visor!

I, however, use nothing on the inside of the glass. I find keeping it clean the best way to mitigate misting up!

Have used it on all my cars as I love how the water just falls off the windows and reduces the need for wipers on the windscreen.

Also it's a must on the rear screen as there is no wiper on our saloon so it helps to clear the window when you drive.

I haven't always used the rain-x branded stuff though.

Have also tried halfords and a turtlewax one all of which seemed to perform as well as each other.

I clay my window quite often, clean with glass cleaner then appy rainx. Also IPA windows and the wiper blades often.

Never used the anti fog but the glass stuff is awesome.

I sometimes put a cheap moisture trap in the car to pull out the moisture, you can pick them up for about a quid in ASDA.
