Just been out cleaning my engine bay and by chance i grabbed hold of the fan mounts on the rad and the whole lot moves, rad, fans the whole assembly!

I've checked the bolts at the top of the assembly and they seem tight but it feels like the bottom mounts have come away completely.

Where does the rad assy bolt too at the bottom as I cant get my head down far enough to see, is it a case of getting to it from below?

Infact the more I think about it, the more i think i've found the reason for this http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=225472&highlight=annoying+squeek

Rads normally have lugs on the bottom that locate into rubber mounts.

Might be an idea to unbolt the top months and see if you can put them back in at the bottom.........assuming they have come out and there not snapped off.

cheers adam. I'm waiting for the rain to stop as we speak then I'm getting the car up on ramps to take a closer look. seems that the underside of the bumper is in the way. Looks like it may have to come off but I'll try your suggestion first.

It's bloody typical as I have got a mate coming to look at it on wednesday next week hopefully to buy it.
