Ok im trying to work something out. I have read loads of threads about wheels and stuff. I have a 2007 ibiza stylance that had 16" wheels on. I have now put mrk 5 wheels on that are 215\45 17". If I lower my car 35mm on shocks and springs am I going to have problems with it touching body work. I have small rub now on full lock from osf only but its only plastic. If anyone can help it would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance rob

If you will lower your car by 35mm, it is lower than a standard Cupra:

Height of the standard Cupra tyre (205/40/17) is 82mm.
A standard Cupra is around 20mm lower than you car without lowering.

Height of your new tire (215/45/17) is 97mm.

Since 205/50/17 size tire (height 102mm) is no go even with standard Cupra, I doubt a 215/45/17 is also no go for your car.

So better go with 215/40/17 tire.

Trouble is with your rubbing is that the standard wheels had 205/50-16 and you went to 215/45-17 , if you go up an inch in rim diameter you should drop 10 points in the aspect ratio , i.e. O.E. = 205/50-16 , Upgrade = 205/40-17 , same width and same rolling circumference = no problems just a bigger rim so my advice is to put 205/40-17's on and drop it with Cupra springs .

i'm on 215/40-17's mate and no rubbage on standard FR setup...i think this may be the limit if you want to be able to full lock without rubbing
