I have had the manifold bolts come lose on mine and it is quite a common problem with the 180 T because of all the heating and cooling down the car has to do also should be running the forge 007 valve that is the best on for the car not saying you cant use the 006 but there 007 is better

also see you guy are using revo, CC is the way to go, revo are good but CC is even better. I was going to have revo but ater driving both CC and revo i chose CC the power delivery is very good all the way to the red line

How much power and torque is your Cupra running, as i have been considering doing the same mods to my car?

Also if you were to modify it further would you have it re remapped to suit the mods?? as i have a dilemma whether modify everything like filter, exhaust dump valve etc. then get custom remap for all the mods.

Need an ID-ten-T form
I'm just waiting for force to produce a bigger FMIC and a TIP, hopefully around 3 weeks and it'll be produced then I’m going to get an APR stage 2 remap, but mine would be the development car apparently. Would be hoping for around 250bhp mark with 240ft/lb

But for your information prices for my mods where

Forge 007 Dump Valve £80 - might be cheaper now.
Dynatwist - £170 from badger 5.
Milltek turbo back - £283 - from awesome
Milltek 100 cell cat with 2.5" downpipe - £400 new, got mine 2nd hand for £200

Total of around £950

not had i RR yet 235 +? but to answer is it quicker than when i first got it at 180, Sh*t yeah. I have tried both CC Phase 1 and 2 on the car and the difference is out standing phase 1 is generic very good power delivery "I chose this after testing them both revo and cc " where has phase 2 is fully customised to your requirements and adding a extra 30 bhp + on top of phase 1 increases . you can have it set up how ever you like, mines rigged for acceleration pick up is sh*t hot and it holds it all the way to red.

the best thig about CC phase 2 is you can have as much input as you want with the set up, top end power mid or bottom and full customise the boost delivery

what i did was have phase 1 done then did all the other mods and went for phase 2 and james and the guys did an excellent job

cost : 1500 aprox that is with both phase 1 + 2 maps phase 2 is 40% off if you have had phase 1
and from 178 bhp to 235 + not bad i dont think

All ready for the BIG TURBO Conversion next [B)]

just wondering m8, why the 007 is better? i thought the 006 which i have is a piston set up and the 007 is a diaphgram (spelling) set up?

My mate had a 006 and changed it for 007 and said he got better responce
could have been the spring but we never looked in to it. To be honest cant see there being much of a difference.

For the record my 20vt FR 'pulses' under acceleration as well. Does not happen all the time but seems to be noticeable if i change brand/octane rating of petrol - could be the ECU adapting? Just a thought. Car has Revo but did this before as well

wouldnt be adapting to new fuel every time you accelarate wouldnt of thought ^^^^
my cupra remapped has this pulsating feeling it pulls harder at the start with remap! then turbo kicks in it pulls harder then the i get this last boost of power higher up the rev range bout 4000rpm it pulls more again so this makes it feel pulsating!

there like it from new in some cases so i doubt that? ^^^
mine done it standard and ever sinse i bypassed my n249 valve its even more noticiable hopefully when i change remaps to CC it will sort that out tho!

We had exactly the same problem with 2 of our pre registered Ibiza Cupras. The problem was evident from new and both turned out to be the Turbo Bypass Solenoid. Easy Fix providing the part is in stock.

is this a regular fault because vertually every mk4 cupra 180 owner feels the same sensasion (spelling<)

do you have any idea on price and is it easy to replace?? quite mechanically know but not to sure on this part??

andycupra

status subject to change
my thought was it could the the turbo bypass solonoid also. (n249???)
some bypass this i believe.

as regards the 007 and 006 dv.
the 007p is a piston. there is a diaphgram variation also.

bacially the 007 is smaller than the 006 and so looks more stock in appearance.
if you have the 006 id not worry and not bother changing it.

the n249 valve is to protect the boosh r.v that comes on the ibiza cupra as standard as this cannot take alot of stick! so it is useless if you have uprated yoiur recirculating valve like i have (007)
