This one is also quite good for the petrol powered Exeo's out there

That is a good video and accords with my understanding and my 'feel' when driving - mind you, you need the right car to take advantage of it!

Putting aside any differences on redoing tests and other anomolies you may get due on redoing a dyno, on their GTI test which is most comparable to stock Petrol Exeo, Shell premium gave out +2.9% HP; and it gave out +6% on the Subaru; also gave out +11% TQ.

Incidentally, if you look at APR's website for a mapped 2.0T, they indicate that the higher octane 98 will give you +3.8%HP and+6.9%TQ over octane 95 fuel.

So this does seem to be consistent, is it worth it for the extra ~5% cost is going to be down to personal preference I guess.

And of course many people will say that they can't feel the difference - which is fair enough, but I also wonder in how many of those cases are there issues (e.g. even a dirty throttle body, MAF sensor, too much carbon on the injectors etc) which would mask any performance benefit. IMO there is a gain to be had from a premium fuel IF you have a powerful car (or ideally a tuned car which has a higher octane specific remap) that can take advantage of it and IF your car is in good condition without specific issues which would reduce the benefit of premium fuel.
