Poorboys Natty's Paste Wax Blue

Hi,

I have some of this Paste Wax in a tub, and would be interested to hear what the most effective method would be to apply it to paintwork? Also what applicator to use too?

I was thinking as a quick application, I might apply it directly to the wet panels, after rinsing the car down following a wash??

I have a Black Leon and I'm loathed to start applying waxes and polishes as I worry that I will end up putting swirl marks in the paint (which is more noticable on black cars too). Doing more harm than good!

I`ve found this a very easy on/off product, i use a german applicator with a light mist of QD which helps give a really thin coat of wax. Can be applied in either direct sun or the shade as it will make no difference when you come to buff it off.

I wouldn't wax on a wet car and I'd prep and polish first. You shouldn't get any swirls if you apply polish and wax with decent applicators and buff with microfibre towels. Definitely get it done so your paintwork's protected

As above you can get application pads that make it a lot easier. I've not used Natty's paste wax, but if it does get hard to apply, spray a little quick detailer, this can help lubricate it giving a smoother and more level coating. You can also apply waxes by hand, but again I've not used this wax so can't say what it's like to apply.

Leave the panel about 30 mins to cure before buffing off .

Natty Blue went on best for me with a megs yellow foam applicator or the soft side of a german applicator.

Leave to cure. Swipe test (lightly swipe a finger over the wax, if it leaves a clean mark, its ready). Buff with MF cloths.
