was mapping it more yesterday straight back off holiday so i am on it.
dialing in fueling and taming boost delivery as i see this car being ott unleached.

4th gear slight spin on undulations road yesterday, and it weaves on boost there on..... white knuckle ride for sure.

its pokey and mighty scarey in this setup/chassis - feels as narrow as it looks. i forget how planted my ibiza feels in comparison with more power, buts its suspension/geometry and track width is very different. i think this car is scaring me more than my ibiza.

more l8trs

...........sounds as if the first month or 2 is going to be a nervous time whilst taming this beast Barnsley..........

I had the same feelings when building my car, stick with it.

7 months of driving nothing but a 1.0 106 in my case drives you nuts, but does make it all the more better when you get your proper toy back, not least an animal like this. Hang in there! :)

can appreciate that must be getting you down knowing you got a car with alot of shiny new bits.....but can't touch it:(

patience.........easier said than done:rolleyes:

When I had my car "first hybrid" with a certain company.... I was without it for one night and it drove me nuts! I can totally appreciate where Barnsley is coming from!!

It's ok people saying "patience", but it's different when it's your own car! :bleh:

just running round in a sh**ter for so long its all i know now

its certainly going to be a shock in performance terms when you drive it next.
keeping it on the black stuff will be a challenge.
its nearly there to loose faith now.
i am sorry its taking so long, but there have been some unexpected things (non car related) that have delayed things my end.
good news is 3.5krpm and 1bar of boost in 4th, and by 4krpm its as much as you want and beyond. logs so far have shown me >300g/s at 1.3bar boost at 4700rpm as a one off figure..

you are and have been more than reasonable & patient which i think you for

i remember when mrsB lupo was being done, which was a 6 week job, and i collected it 6 months later when it was finished. it was worth the wait however.

I should check your maf scaling, as a 4700rpm on a 1.8 at 1.3 bar boost, the most air you can squeeze ito that capacity is just over 200g/s and thats with iat's below 10C.
Surely you have to get more than 200g/s to run big power. Standard 1.8t's are peaking at about 200g/s arent they. I don't know much about logs of the 1.8t's and how they relate to power. But you certainly need more air to make more power.
