If you get cupra r, golf mk4, Octavia vrs front wheel drive rear calipers then they will just bolt on. Reason why I had to get spacers is that my ones are quattro versions. The spacer I have in the picture will only allow me to put on the 256mm vented discs not anything bigger. I was trying to source the right spacer to allow bigger discs because it is possible but have not had any luck.

I been getting a few requests and questions about the Apexi air filter and how the car sounds etc. I decided to take a few videos on the iphone to show how it sounds driving reasonably.

Here they are:
*Would be good if I could find a video editor to rotate them the right way!*

I didn't give it full beans to really open the car up but it should give people who asked a good enough picture. When I did accelerate I was changing around 3k. To give a better picture turn it up a tad as when the volume is low the engine tends to drown out the induction noise.

You still sleeping with the .:R32 steering wheel Maz? :)
will hopefully get the fitting arranged before the weekend
it adds a few bhp and improves handling (all in the mind of course)

Thanks - wasnt sure if I gave it enough speed to properly give people a feel of the sound. It was strange at first but once on the move you hardly notice it unless you put your foot down.

100 pages...Good thing I done an index on page 1 :)

was quite hard to hear, had to turn the volume up to 11! ;-)

Btw, I've found Adjustable Rear Tie Arms at Awesome GTI's for 195£, +65£ shipping!
Maybe you didn't have a problem with this, as the FWD has camber adjustment in the rear as std.?

I never had any of those problems so never considered anything on that section tbh.

Good News
----

R32 Steering wheel is fitted, looks and feels great.

I got a virtually new spare tyre from my best mate, a Pirreli P Zero Rosso for free. That will be going on the spare wheel asap

Bad News
----

Next door is having all manor of work done like roofing work. Both my mrs car and my car have been covered in some sort of cement / containments I cant identify. The containments are properly bonded on the cars.

I washed the Mrs car being super careful but there are scratches, swirls, marring...the paint is shocking. My Mrs is devastated as its a only 4 old. I got the machine out and had a go on one of the scratches, I virtually got rid of it but you can still tell its there.

I dare not try anything else on the car as I am not really sure how to approach the problem. I also dare not try and wash my car....

I am going to contact a specialist detailer to discuss what is required as I do not feel that I should be correcting the problem whether I can detail cars or not.

I am just shocked.

Can't you just jet wash it off ? No sponge /wash Mit and blast the dirt off , cars get scratched at least it's not been keyed like mine to the primer , sure ur making it sound worse than it is due to you being a perferctionist

I am not going to ring the insurance company until I hear from the building firm doing the work. Ultimately I expect them to have insurance and to claim on their insurance for the work.

Dan - I did that for my Mrs car and still didn't come out well. I snow foamed it twice, gave it a good rinse and the containments are so embedded in the paint it scratch and marred. I know it will need claying but not sure what sort of damage that will do.

Gutted for you both mate as I know how much pride and time and effort you put into keeping your cars clean.
You are doing the right thing by persuing the builders to sort this, they caused it and they should have insurance to cover it.
