what do you mean ' how not to mount a tyre?' thats the perfect streched look! as an ex euro dubber, i'm bringing that to my cupra! looks phat ricky! have you got any pics of the whole car mate?

because its f*cking dangerous... undersize tyre oversize rim.

simple as....

no matter how cool you think it looks... euro styleeee or whatever.

No reputable tyre company would condone this mix of tyre width and rim width disparency.

SAFETY FIRST dude.

lol dude Bill's just pointing out a safety issue, i can understand why people do it, but remember that there is a risk when running tyres on wheels like this.

dude??? now, now watch your language! dont knock it till you've tried it.....DUDE!

F*cking Dangerous.

Its a simple statment... put simply.

It just is... WRONG to do. no matter how cool you think it is.

Ignore and copy at your peril. You have been warned.

Read some other forums who run Euro styleee look and have tyres roll off the rims FFS.

They say they have to run them at 45psi to keep the tyres on the rims.. Does that remotely sound SAFE?

UNSAFE Dude.. ;)

ok well tanks for the tip, but so many people do it and its the first ive heard of it.
and if its ok for venoms 350 bhp Lupo and Polo im hoping it will be okay for mine.

on a side note im thinking of going back to standard wheels anyway, cant quite make up my mind but if anyone may want to PX there standard cupra alloys (in good nick)
for my keskins pm me. i might be tempted.

just keep the difference between tyre width and rim width to the minimum to achieve the req'd look.... go too far and the tyre will roll off the rim. You dont want that to happen do you.

Show look cars which might look "good" are often not driven there, and do not get driven hard on real roads.

You wont see many people admit to their tyres rolling off their rims whilst trying to make them look good.. not something they will shout about.

Check out CGTi forum for those who have done it to excess and had problems.

Tyre companies have reccomended rims widths for a reason. Safety is that reason.

I was planning on putting 195's over 7.5j rims which is a fairly minimal stretch.
