well on my ibiza i am lucky to get 240 miles out of a tank and thats with driving 70 on the motorway and a bit of town dirving i cant get the mpg over 31 ots got a revo stage 1 k an n induction kit and forge diverter valve???
something has got to be wrong!!

70ish mph will only get you about 33 mpg. with a bit of a boot and town driving 31 is about right.

i just got 180 miles out of a tank!!!!!!!!! thats 43 quid! on a long jurney like the fairmile trip for me i got 44mpg each way and had a bit left in the tank when i got back so i got around 400 from that tank

i drove up to lester 3 weeks a go a 2 hour trip all motoway driving and only got 260 miles out of a tank!!!
it went into seat last weekend to have a timing belt and water pump done and they test drove it and they avaraged 8mpg because i reset all the clocks...

how fast on motorway theres a big drop off the faster you go.

as for 8 mpg. dont forget it would have been sitting there ticking over for a fair time and the journey short.

lots of people only get 270 out of a tank on leons and the tank is alot bigger.

depends how you drive.

how many litres to fill up? 40-45? if its 40 litres, 270 is about 31 mpg. thats ok!

23 aint that good, but its hard to tell. depends on roads, traffic, speed, booting ratio etc etc...

its funny as now i drive in thr rush hours i get alot better mileage! guess im lucky as tends to be 45 mile an hour all the way and you just accpoet that and hardly touch the accelerator.

on my old leon i got anything between 24 pmg to 36!

well whats your typical drving like? stop start in traffic? motorway? 80 mph..? hard to say..

maf could cause that, but not massively.

i put another post on bout the temp gauge and sme1 said that the coolant sensor is knackered and can affect mpg
i drive bout 80 on motorway my trip to wrk is all mototrway and there is harly any traffic in my town

haf = air flow sensor, its just after the air filter, has a wired plug in the site of it.

basically measure airflow into intake.

45 litre tank..... and i've filled it when it's been nearly empty...

fuel light comes on with ~ 1.5gallons left (4.55l/gal) so if you start to ginger it you might scrape 60 miles out of it. Trip computer miles left will just read 0 for a long time.

lol ohyes...iv driven over 40miles while computer said 0 a nice scare tactic on seats behalf, no-one should ever have a reason for running out of fuel in one of these cars, though i have once or twice just for taking it for granted

Well i was getting <30 in my prev posts......had a try at the weekend and seen much better results 30-35mpg....and on the way to work on busy motorway and town driving trip averaged 39.6mpg

funny you know, on the motorway, i use more at 70 than i do at 95mph, easily over 300 this weekend on motorways

I get 40mpg all day on the motorway @ 70-80mph. Done it last weekend on a 400 mile round trip to London.

Average ~35mpg.
