Yeh it was kinda hard to get it open but i was desparate and ended up bending the clip a little

Why does this lock tho???

it kinda locks so people can't nick your petrol and it works on the sentral locking so if the car was locked so would the cap been. was the car locked? or unlocked?

Where abouts is the cord inside the boot? ive never seen any cord?

If you peel back the carpet in the boot (the side the petrol flap is on obviously) which is held on by a few of those plastic popper things and have a little rummage around you will find a piece of white cord but for the good it does I would take it off and use it as a shoe lace.

hehehe, maybe you can get Seat to colour code your cord (it's a catchy slogan) I think it's a winner. ;)

Ha ha! I think a polished one would look good as well

Im surprised its hidden away as much as that, surely if its an Emergency Cord its there if its an Emergency and should be on view a bit more?

Yeah you would think so wouldn't you, i'm sure it's all in the manual, there may be an easier way, possibly a cut out in the carpet that I missed. It's a bit of a crap idea in my opinion and makes me think they were aware of the problem but couldn't be arsed to fix it.
