Is it in limp mode, coil lights on/flashing or just the DPF light on? if only the DPF light on then you should follow the regeneration procedure as described in your manual.

Car going in for a service next week and will get the problem sorted. Got an e-mail from JBS!

Hi

We have had an update for the sensitive throttle and so called "hick up" for some time.

You are welcome to come and have the update flashed FOC.

Has anybody else had this update on their cars?

I Havent, last time i spoke to them they wanted me to come back and pay like 100+ to have it diagnosed, im guessing somebody took theres back

I Dont mind the sensitive throttle thats half the point of the WILD Map

Can you ask them if the update cuts power? as i dont want to loose anymore

They may flash the MILD map on so be careful as this isn't as quick as the WILD. The throttle response is no where near as sharp but on the good side when I had this map there was no stutter at all. But I wanted the WILD map and as soon as I got that and came up the motorway I felt the stutter.

So just ask them if this is the MILD map they are going to flash

Doh! Should read the thread fully eh lol! :) From what I've heard, the car attempting to do a regen when there is no DPF in place isn't good news - can cause damage to the engine. It could of course just be the ECU believing there is an issue with the sensor and not actually that the DPF is in need of regen, however I would have thought that would bring up the coil lights/eml too.

To be honest I never get the stutter whilst accelerating hard. The only time i get the stutter is if i accelerate slowly up past 3k rpm and it hicks a little bit or when I was on a motorway for a little bit at a constant speed then accelerate it would hick a little bit then but that seems to be gone since the EGR gasket. Apart from that there i never get a stutter.

I had the MILD map and never had any stutter at all in any of the scenarios above.

I hardly ever accelerate slowly past 3k rpm any how as I usually change by then when driving normally.

I do notice that there is still constant pull all the way past the red line as well (which is impressive for a diesel) but i hardly ever do that either as it cannot be healthy.

Well I always go stutter when accelerating anything more than 1/4 throttle. So as I see it 0 - 60 is vastly improved. So is 0 - 100 for me. There was little point having the first 3 gears on my car before. If more boost can be had and the delivery made more aggressive without the stutter, then I'm all for that. My guess is the more mild delivery is the trade off.

I have run maybe 25 1/4 Mile runs now and never had the stutter, What you do get though is a hell of alot of wheel spin

I am sure that JBS has mapped out the re-gen process on the car. The car did have a flashing coil light yesterday and the car is went into soft limp mode its is in for diagnostics at a local garage. Must be a sensor fault in the car!

Thats excellent news! Is there an approx cost on the sensor if it will be the same one you had to replace?

Ive never had one go!

IIRC BIGG had one go, think there a maximum of £100 notes

Thanks for the information! Just e-mail JBS to check the issues surrounding WILD and MILD map and a possible fix indicating that that there are many people interested in their response also sent a link to another post that indicates that there is a fix that does not affect performance!

Lets see!

Eventually got around to getting RR'd again. Went to a local place near me.

Not impressed with the result to be honest. On JBS rollers it made 222.8bhp and 342lbft of torque.

Today it made 204.1bhp and around 292lbft or torque which is piss poor.

One thing in my defense is that a Corsa VXR was on the rollers before me (been remapped else where) and only made 192bhp (which is roughly the standard value).

So question is is my result correct or was the Dyno just way out.

I cannot quite decide as when playing with 200bhp cars my car doesnt go whizzing past them and it quite a struggle to get past some 200bhp cars. OR was the dyno reading around 20ish bhp below what it should be.

I am tending to go with the latter one.

Any how here is my graph:

stage 1 squashed astra vxr's should make 220bhp, and i know what you mean about not sailing past lower bhp cars, it seems that 20bhp difference isnt really much in the real world in a straight line anyway

You can't compare like for like on different rollers, its bad enough on the same rollers in different conditions. Also are you suggesting the 220bhp tdi is quicker than the Astra VXR?

who suggesting what? im suggesting that the dyno is wrong because a squashed Astra vxr (aka corsa) should produce 220bhp. a stage 2 leon isnt faster than a 240bhp astra vxr, but then again you never said leon so with that in mind, yes a 220bhp tdi would be faster than a astra vxr if you dump the engine in an Arosa ;)
