difference between PD130 sport and PD130 FR is obv the FR styling like badges, wheels, logo and rear lights etc. but main difference is sport has longer gearing, personally I prefer short gearing in the diesel as it feels more eager and you're always 500rpm higher so always at the magical 2krpm :D

I think there are ALOT of differences between PD100 though, internals? clutch? brakes, turbo... guess same intercooler, but don't have much experience with the 100 :/

I know somebody who had a PD100 VW Bora remapped to just over 130bhp, best thing he ever did to it! Made it far more powerful and it still returned over 55mpg daily.

6 Speed gearbox in the 130. Get the 130 and remap to 170. Job done. :)

My soon to be traded in Octavia vRS has 170 horses, however it also has more weight than an Ibiza :D

When I test drove the FR I've bought, I'm sure it "felt" faster - however this could also be due to the fact that the Ibiza's engine is PD (all the torque is just given in one big fat lump) and my Octavia is CR based - smooth delivery.

Somehow I think I prefer the PD :D
