 used to be an old fashioned switch but i dont know whats on the 1p.
like you say itll be covered under warranty but it never hurts to point the stealers in the right direction.

The dealership is quite far away from me where my car goes, with nothing around them in walking distance so anything I could maybe let them know to speed things up will reduce my waiting time :D.

I'll keep a check on it for the next time it happens.

Thanks again for the head's up mate.

Well, it happened again today, selected reverse and no bleep to signal the sensors were working, so got the wife to check the reverse light was indeed coming on. So it look's like the module might be faulty!!! I'll let the dealership know for my next service I think, it's due end of May.

How does it come off?
A more recent post stated that it is
1. Double skinned
2. Required bumper off to remove

Any info would be helpful thanks

Its not double skinned - there is a full width inner splashguard which is a separate piece.
The bumper does not have to come off, just get under the car and you should see how the rear trim is attached. Hard to describe but straightforward enough :)

The inner holes have the black trim and the red bumper underneath, that is if you are going to fit them in the factory locations.

I didnt fit mine to the painted part, just spaced out the 4 sensors across the black 'flat part'
The accessory sensors sit way to far out compared to the OE factory items - plus they didnt need painted :)
If I remember rightly, I just ripped the black trim out at the top lol Think its tabs and slots.

DON'T spend £150 to £200+ for a Halfrauds Kit! You can buy a full Kit from MAPLINS for £40 !

One of my work colleagues fitted this Kit to his Mondeo. I was in his car recently and the system was working perfectly - he fitted the kit himself, includes 4 sensors.

The 4 Sensors fit into the rear bumper. The correct sized Drill Bits are included in the kit for drilling the holes.
There is a small control box that you fit into your boot. The sensor wires feed to this box.

Then, you splice into the + (power) and - (earth) feeds from the cars Reversing Light wiring, which powers the control box.

Finally, there is one long wire that comes out of the box that you route to your dashboard, where you fit the display unit that also comes with the kit. This gives an audible alert, when reversing, also has a set of bars to represent how close you are getting.

The reverse light wire is coloured grey/white and can be found behind n/s boot panel as seremotors said, an earthing point is adjacent to the multi plug.

Just bought the Maplins kit now £29.99 Order Code: A25FH

Not going to run the display to front of the car probably just leave it near parcel shelf, lcd bit not really bothered with just use the sound of the beeps.

Looks like a good piece of kit :)

Just fitted the maplin set this morning, took about 1 hour to drill holes and pass cables through vent in the boot.
Just have to wire up now, But started raining!!!!.

I just undone screws around grey plastic around number plate. No need to remove any parts just pull trim away slighty gives you enough access.

Good kit for £30, leaving the display/buzzer in boot, connected up system to 12v supply to test, sounds loud enough in the boot for me.
