Pabs Modified Leon Cupra Last Photoshoot - Off to it's new owner!

Well, the majority of the money is in my account now, so the car is being collected tomorrow morning on my way to work.
Very sad to see it go, it's been a great 3.5 years, but time to move on and get what I've always been craving for.

thanks all! I'm actually quite shocked at my emotions as she was driven away this morning, a long journey back to north wales!

I started totalling up the costs of mods - and stopped when the figures got silly as I didn't realise how much I spent! lol.

I'm looking for a mk4 polo (1.4) for a runaround car to get me to my band gigs, shopping etc, and I've also got people looking in Japan and over here for my next project car - a Toyota Supra

I'll still be on these forums - I've got VAG in my blood (sounds wrong!) and I really want to own a SEAT or VW as my 2nd car, it'll just be much less powerful.

18 months ago i bit the bullet and its silly fast.

it used to be a fun nippy hatchback. now its a serious animal.

i know you were on the verge of going the same route...

advantages..
huge power above 4k and it stays till 7k.
not as laggy as i thought.
huge grin factor
zorst burble
real time boost/torque controller means you can turn up during 3rd gear and lessen the power in 1st and 2nd for quicker starts.

disadvantages..
under power the zorst is loud
can feel heavy under 3k almost like your pushing the turbo as opposed to being dragged along by it. car feels less nippy around town.
harder work to drive.( you dont really relax... more arrive at destination excitable, agitated and buzzing lol)
people pulling out on you not realising how quick it goes

i love it. my partner wont drive it now.. loves being a passenger but uncomfortable with the power. its not really a leon now.

you have all this to come no doubt with the supra...be good to see pics when you get it. what sort of power? i would imagine theres a huge tuning/modding market for them.

thanks mate - would have loved to bring it to the RR one last time at the weekend, but having taken a deposit should anything have gone wrong I'd be in a sticky situation lol
