Looking really well

If my car had an evil twin in black it would be yours!

Just needs some spacers on the back.

The spacers are coming. As soon as my wallet recovers from this latest addition :p Mine Will be very much an evil version of yours by the summer. ;)

Okay, got the car back, all fixed. Now all I want to do is drive it! found some 20mm spacers on fleabay for £40, should do the job. Haven't bought them yet as I'm skint, but I've invested in a couple of ultrawhite LEDs for the sidelights. Should look a lot nicer than the yellow glow I'm getting atm. :)

Thanks for all the info on the alloys situ, I really need some OZ turismo style ones, they'd finish it off for now beautifully. Ah well. In time. Not as though there's much point, but I was looking at Nevs thread and wondering 'is there any point in colour coding the bump strips on a black car...' lol, just a little update, I'll post pics when they come :)

V. nice car mate. I must admit I thought the bump strips on my black beeza were colour coded until I took a close look!!

Ebay specials mate, nothing fancy, the car don't go fast enough anyways, so a couple more kilo's ain't going to make a difference. Just search 20mm 4x100 spacers, that should put you in the right direction.

You say same as yours, if you don't mind me asking, are you/have you colour coded the bump strips?

:s bit of a hard question, as I don't have a mk4. Mine were annoying to fit. If you can see where the Side lights are situated, just stick your hand down behind the lights and you will find them :) On mine, at least, they're 501 fitting, or 'wedge' bulbs, All I did to find them is, you guessed it, searched on eBay for 501 Leds :p You can spend as much as you want really. ranging from 59p for a bog standard LED to a 9 (maybe more) cluster, but these will be more expansive, obviously.

The sidelights is a nice touch esp on black cars, somehow makes them look more modern.

Looking good :)

When I first did my bumper I used mesh from a mk2 Mondeo grille, and managed to find more of the same mesh on eBay. Looked well. Currently got tractor grille mesh lol, and IMO the holes are too small, but it does the job. Great fly catcher too!
