does look very nice in black buddy!

only thing is, i had a black mk5 golf before, and it was wayyyyy too much maintenance to keep looking fresh :p

hopefully white will be better.

i see what that other thread about ride height is all about....i should order me some springs or coilovers asap!

*update - the order is in the air at the moment, unsure what the deal is as i got told that i cant get the 1.9tdi, but now its a 1.6 tdi, which i dont mind, but am waiting for find out about the prices.

It is hard to keep clean, i'll give you that!. When it is clean it's very smart. Mind you, the worst car i've ever had to keep clean was silver !..

Best Regards,
Andy

Looks really tidy Andy. Very nice.

I do like the black, but I'm glad I've got mine ordered in White.. Shouldn't be too long till I get it now!! then I'll get some pics up! lol.

Are you planning on making any changes to it? either cosmetic or performance wise?

1. is that an extra badge you had added on the front?

2. whats that thing by the headlight switch?

3. what engine did you go for?

4. hows the standard speakers?

Cyph, the white is STUNNING !! - just seen it today and looks the bizz !! - black and white are the 2 i really like. Performance-wise i don't think much can be done to it (BHP etc), cosmetic-wise i'd like to get the rear windows tinted (but then it might look like a van !), want a nice looking "Sport" badge, quite happy with the one i put on (i made the black and red flag out of an old Cupra badge, and it looks good), but just fancy a nicer one. Also the "Sport" on the front just doesn't look right, but there's nowhere else to stick one on the front !! - i bought 10 of those "Sport" badges in the pound shop ! - exactly the same ones as Halfords sell for £7 !

Would also love the brake calipers painting, but not sure what colour on a black car !

Regards,
Andy

1. Yep, just got a batch of them from poundland (believe it or not!), they are the same packaging as the ones Halfords sell for £7. Put one on the rear which looks the bizz, the front one i'm not so sure about. There's not many places on the front to position it and not sure if it is best where it is !

2. That's the ScanGauge II. It does various diagnostics, fuel figures, speeds, BHP, Ignition Retard, RPM, temperatures, plus thousands more things i don't understand !. Google "Scangauge II" for more info, it was around £110, but is well worth it (in my opinion).

3. I went for the 1.6 sport. I am really happy with it's power, and considering i had the 180bhp Leon Cupra before it, that's saying something !!

4. Love the speaker quality. I had heard there were issues with the rear speaker quality on the 3 door version Ibizas, but never had a problem with my 5 door one. They sound really bassy and crystal clear (depending on the quality of your mp3s obviously!).

All in all, a good little runner, saves me a fortune in fuel (against my old Leon Cupra !)
Love the car !

Andy

I think you have a point cyphnar, i've looked at the 2 pics side by side and it does look better in your version. I'll get that moved up tomorrow !

Where would i get a spoiler from to fit the mk5 ?

Cheers !

Andy,

The whole body kit is this part number: ZGB6J3071670 (if you've got the spare £880 for it!) from seat accessories, it list the bumpers skirts and a rear spoiler.. I swear i've seen it seperate somewhere else, sadly the new ibiza part of the accessories portal thing is broken, so you have to go through all and try to find stuff... maybe this part 6L0071650 it says 2002> but i tihnk it might just need updating to take into account the new beezas...

also this migth look ace on a black beeza 6J0071360 (this pic is a leon but you get the idea)

Thats excellent cyph!, just trying to find a spare £880 now though!. I also fancy doing something with the front grille. Getting a honeycomb-type pattern where the Seat badge is, instead of the (what i call) teeth grille as it stands ! - don't know how easy that would be, or if possible ??

Also wondered if a "sport" badge under each side indicatior would be too much ? - probably would !

Andy

i think the indicator sports might be too much, maybe a repeat of the lil flag you've done under/next to the indis might look good?

The honey comb grill does look good, not sure how easy it is to change, i remember reading that older ibizas (possibly mk3's) had to have the bumper removed to change the grill/mesh... :S

Yeah i think it might be a little too much, i'll have to get hold of a couple more Cupra badges to cut the flag away like i did in that one, cannot be too hard to find. Think i'll have a look on ebay now, that's where i got the cupra flag badge from.

The honeycomb would look good tho !

just found this!!

worth a look mate, i think i just multi-brankrupted myself in my head with just a glance! ;)... or maybe not, looking at just the iiza stuff, they don't have much exterior styling, but its got potential...

if it comes with the silver surround like the LineaR grill for the leon/altea/toledo (I think those) then it might be easy, just pop the hood un clip/screw it and pop the new one in, if it's just the mesh and not the surround it might well be considerably harder methinks!

-Cyph

also this looks pretty cool for the leon, wonder fi they'll release something similar for the beeza?

It actually looks like it might just be the mesh (for £18). I cannot imagine it being the whole front and Seat badge for only £18.

Ah yeah that looks really cool ! - makes a hell of a difference to the sporty look of the car !, on the link you gave earlier it looks like the "mesh" is lurking behind the original grille, i think it would be much better for the whole grille to be mesh, like in the above link. Wonder if there is such thing as a series of honeycomb "strips" that could fit inbetween the current vertical strips ? (doubt it !)

Cheers,
Andy
