Lee was my salesman, not that he had to do much selling as I had already test driven and rung around for prices already, but he was the perfect salesman. Not pushy, lets you say what you want and doesnt take offence, he is a sound guy!

Hoping to see my order completed in about 8-12 weeks....

damn this waiting time is going to feel like forever!

I think I can see myself doing a lot of researching on the internet in the lead up months to getting my car!

so far have found coilovers and contemplating some special wheels

Congrats, nice to see it's in Candy White, it's definitely the "In" colour right now, it looks good on just about any new car.

What engine did you go for turbo?

I went for the 1.9tdi.

same engine as the mk5 golf sport i used to have. i had that remapped...not sure if i want to remap this though, i had quite a lot of problems running 150bhp instead of 105bhp.....

You are onto your second one now then???

yeah i went for the 1.9tdi too cant wait for it!

I'm only on my first, just still waiting for it to come! Monday the 27th April is week 8, so maybe then.. but I'm doubtful that it'll be before May, but who knows... I might be lucky and it comes tomorrow... there seems to be little in the way of a specific date for my car... "anywhere from 8-12 weeks, but maybe earlier if you're lucky" lol....

waiting is fun... but theres no roadtests/reviews for the 1.9 online so I'm running out of things to occupy myself!!

ahhh fair enough, i thought you were on your second one lol

well if my mk5 is anything to go by, i would say the engine is not particularly quiet, but the figures quoted for mpg are mad compared to my old mk5! used to get 43mpg at the best of times outta it, although it was mapped.

where did you order your one from? i am hoping that my one will be around the end june as opposed to start of july....sooner the better.

i am driving around in a mk2 golf 1.3 at the moment lol its fun!

i saw a really nice candy white mk4 for sale on piston heads a lil while ago...might be worth checking, was over in ireland though....

Got my Candy white SC yesterday.

I had some doubts as hadn't seen in the flesh before hand, By my god it looks good. I can personally vouch this is the best colour for the car. I've received a lot of positive comments already.

I'm sure you'll be taken back just how White this is, It really is very bright when you see it for real, More so than the Mk4. You'll love it.

Looks the "Bizz" in most colours. I'm obviously going to be bias with White, But i'm very happy with my choice, and it really is each to there own.

Wish i had th 17" alloys. At least my windows rear windows are tinted though.. With a white car set's it off nicly. I'll get some pics up ( on a seperate thread obviously) once i have 15 posts.

Hi Ian, see below: (will have to get some unusual angle shots of her), but i took these bog standard ones the a month or so back, they definitely don't do her justice though, she was filthy ! - anyway, i'll give her a wash thro the week and get some more of her and post here ! - enjoy the car when u get it !

only thing is, i had a black mk5 golf before, and it was wayyyyy too much maintenance to keep looking fresh

hopefully white will be better.

i see what that other thread about ride height is all about....i should order me some springs or coilovers asap!

*update - the order is in the air at the moment, unsure what the deal is as i got told that i cant get the 1.9tdi, but now its a 1.6 tdi, which i dont mind, but am waiting for find out about the prices.

Its the 1.6 TDi CR - common rail injection still at 105PS, might be marginally quicker as the 1.6 engine should be slightly lighter than the 1.9... yeah the 1.6 is more expensive than 1.9... i heard somewhere like £200 more, but that's by no means hard fact.

yeah Cyph, heard about all of this, although, it was £270 that I heard through my contact.....my salesman is trying to sort it out for me.

i just want my new car!!!
